In the early hours of the morning on 30 May 2022, Robert Fensom, from Hucknall would usually get out of bed to take his dog out for a walk.
But on this occasion, he wasnโt stirring. Sue Fensom, his wife of 40 years, thinking this was very odd, went to try and wake him only to make the frightening discovery that he was unresponsive, and his breathing was shallow.
Sue decided that Robert needed emergency help and fast, so dialled 999.
...some sort of night shift that was, reckon my eye balls will be rolling around like I've just done 17 cans of a well known popular caffeine drink! (Not recommended, please don't try at home)

BT 999 call system update....
Fortunately the issue affecting the national 999 call system was resolved last evening!
Please do remember, only call 999 in a medical emergency.
If your concern is not immediately life-threatening please use NHS 111 and their Online service!
***ATTENTION***
A current technical issue is impacting on a number of emergency services across to the country, our included, which means many 999 calls are not connecting.
Please dial 111 in an emergency until further notice - you can also use NHS 111 Online to check for non-emergency medical concerns.
Recently completed some incident command training at @NARU_org. Very privileged to have it delivered by such a knowledgeable team and external speakers so now just to make sense, complete some post course writing and begin the continued learning!
