We did it !! Our team are proud to announce that we have been awarded the Queens award for Voluntary Service. Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout our past 60 years of service !
To be recognised with such a prestigious award is so humbling. @QueensAwardVS @DCMS
How would you like to improve Eyres Monsell?
I will be holding a community forum for residents to share their views on the £20 million of Pride in Place funding. Join me on:
📅 Thurs 9 April
📍 Eyres Monsell Community Centre
🕕 6pm
This time, it's your turn to have a say on where funding is spent. It's time for local money, to be put into local organisations, by local people.

I hope to see you there to decide the future of Eyres Monsell.
On this Good Friday, we take a moment to appreciate and come together as a community.
Whether you’re celebrating Easter, spending time with family or friends, or simply enjoying a well earned break – we’re wishing you peace and positivity ✨
We’re proud to be hosting one of these fantastic events at @EMCYP_
Come along to get support, guidance and information around autism and neurodiversity 💬
It’s also a great chance to share your voice and help shape Leicester into a more neurodiverse-friendly city 💙

@ShockatAdam
Youth workers change lives.
They keep young people safe, build confidence, open doors, and strengthen our communities.
If the gov't is serious about safer neighbourhoods and brighter futures, it must give youth work the funding it deserves.

Thanks to @EMCYP_ for hosting our Youth Members meeting. We discussed the increasing risk of division, the importance of young people's voices and community cohesion. The group also looked at ways to develop coalition proposals that build on our shared expertise and experience.
SEND young adults are not a disposable corporate tick box exercise. Nor a political after thought.
I’ve met so many hardworking SEND young people across Leicester South facing barriers to enter employment.
Inclusion isn’t optional. It’s essential. The govt must turn promises into real pathways.
@EMCYP_
No one should ever be left behind because of ability.
So many young people have the talent and drive to work, but employment pathways need better accessibility.
Invaluable hearing first-hand experiences from the @EMCYP_ Adult Inclusion Group, which I’ll be raising in Parliament.
Thank you for the great conversations. And the cheesecake! 😋
Great to welcome @ShockatAdam and Cllr Elaine Pantling (Assistant Mayor for CYP) to our adult inclusion group last night.
Shockat spoke with our young adults, and their parents, about SEN and inclusive employment ahead of the upcoming SEN reforms. 🤗

Yesterday we concluded another part of our CoiN (Community Integration) programme for youth peer volunteers @EMCYP_ where we ran mini discussions which focused on minority religions and beliefs #interfaith#Leicester
@louiseKauf Youth workers are truly the backbone of our communities – huge thanks for all that you do! Amazing to hear of new counselling service for young people at @EMCYP_ too 👏
Our youth might be 20% of our present—but they’re 100% of our future.
Thank you to Leicester's youth services like Pedestrian, Shubaan Youth Club and @EMCYP_ for investing in that future every single day.
Youth services are not merely optional community additions - they are lifelines.
Funding for these services should not be left to chance. It should not be a lottery.😞
We must do everything in our power to give them the stability, opportunity, and support they deserve. 💚
Founded in 1961, the club has grown into a cornerstone of Eyres Monsell, providing essential services to thousands of residents each year.
