Electrical Safety Month is a great time to talk to kids about safety! Water & electricity don't mix. Never climb trees that are near or touching power lines. Stay away from the “big green box” in your yard or neighborhood. Find more safety tips at: https://t.co/nQjXDvlKwq
This Electrical Safety Month, we're reminding members, contractors & crews to look up before they dig, build or haul. ⚠️Always call 811 before digging. 🚧Keep equipment at least 10 ft from power lines. Safety on the job site starts with knowing where the power begins and ends.
To every mom in our cooperative family — thank you for all you do! You're the heart of the homes we're proud to power, and today we're celebrating YOU. Wishing you a Mother's Day filled with warmth, rest and all the good things! ❤️

May the 4th be with you.
Spring projects mean extension cords everywhere. Always use outdoor-rated cords for outdoor work.🔌Never daisy-chain multiple cords together & inspect them for damage before each use. Keep cords out of the way of mowers, trimmers & other equipment to prevent cuts and damage.
When cleaning around outlets, switches or electrical panels, use a dry cloth. Never spray cleaners directly on them or use water near them. Unplug small appliances before cleaning, &make sure outdoor outlets have GFCI protection before using outdoor equipment.⚡
#SpringCleaning
Spring means breaking out the pressure washers & power tools, but water & electricity are a dangerous combination. Always keep electrical devices, cords & connections away from puddles, wet grass & water sources.⚠️Never operate power equipment in the rain.
Stay dry. Stay safe!⚡
🌳Whether you're carrying a ladder, moving pool equipment, using limb cutters or trimming trees, scan your work area for overhead lines. If a tree branch is touching or near a power line, never attempt to trim it yourself. Contact EMEPA to get assistance.
Stay alert, stay safe.
Planning spring projects around the house? Before you set up that ladder, remember the critical 10-ft rule. Always maintain 10 ft of clearance from power lines when using ladders. Position your ladder on solid ground & keep it at the proper angle (1 ft out for every 4 ft up).⚠️

NAUGHTY: Opening the oven every 2 minutes—you're losing heat & wasting energy!
NICE: Use the oven light, batch your baking, try smaller appliances for small jobs & let the slow cooker do the heavy lifting.
