Editor-author relationships are wild. Like, some authors are professional and kind but still intimidating, so it's best behavior. And some you can send that screaming gif of Jonah Hill when you're excited for them.
Nature is powerful. We all came from nature and one day, we will return to nature. Connecting with nature is connecting with our source of life. Nature uplifts spirits and grounds anxieties. From nature around my cabin in the wilderness, I’m forwarding joy, hope and positivity.
Birthday treat for myself from one of my favorites, @tlkateart ❤️
Bring it the fuck on 2022.
My birthday wish: Do something nice for yourself this weekend. Please #TreatYourself
"If you’re waiting for your writing project to emerge pristine and fully formed like Athena gamboling down from Zeus’ glorious forehead, you’re going to be waiting for a long time."

It never fails -- whether I'm tired or feeling sluggish, if I need more pep while editing image metadata or fixing code... I pop on the #IntoTheSpiderverse soundtrack and all is right with the world.
@ThatKevinSmith@SVCantina @marcbernardin I’m right there with you. My work is talking about doing a fitness challenge together to donate to charity, so I’m hoping that helps motivate me 🙃
#LifeHack: Order yourself lunch before you start work. Then when it shows up right when you get hungry, it'll be like past you sent current you a present 🎁
But I get to decide what happens next. I get to define my own writing path, and I know a lot more than I did on that stage 8 years ago. So I guess that makes me an old(ish), tired, hopeful writer.
The fact that I ask myself these questions means I do care though. And maybe I’ve been less committed to it in the last few years, and I feel disappointed in myself, and like I’ve disappointed that writing teacher at uni who really believed in me.
