Just finished Welcome to Nowhere @EMRLaird and already know I will be wondering what happened to Musa, Omar, Eman, Fuad and Nadia for a long time. A beautiful book.
Happy Publication Day to these wonderful new editions of @EMRLaird's A House Without Walls, Welcome to Nowhere, The Fastest Boy in the World and Song of the Dolphin Boy, with new covers by Maria Brzozowska, Zeamanuel Abera and Shonagh Rae. 📚

I do love the fact that @TinyOwl_Books bring to light Rumi's tales. This time through the words and pictures of @EMRLaird & Jenny Duke. Lovely use of perspectives throughout
Never forget: READING FOR PLEASURE has the biggest positive impact of any factor on children's life chances. So whatever else you do, please never stop encouraging kids to read the things they love. There is nothing more important! #literacy

While @WorldBookDayUK has chosen not to issue a similar statement in solidarity with the children of Gaza, my 9 year old son has decided to dress up for #WorldBookDay as Karim Aboudi from @EMRLaird ‘s ‘A Little Piece of Ground’, a brilliant story about the daily challenges faced by an ordinary Palestinian boy who loves football and is living under the cruel and oppressive Israeli occupation. Perhaps our children can teach the world the value of empathy for all, regardless of skin colour.
