EMSA has issued its first Medical Heat Alert of 2026 for the #OKC area. As of 4pm on 6/1/26, medics have responded to 8 patients with heat illness symptoms.

🌞 Heat Safety Tips:
• Hydrate regularly
• Light-colored, loose fitting clothing

EMSA connected with hundreds of middle and high school students at the Youth Medical Mentorship Spring Summit at Metro Tech in OKC. Students toured an EMSA ambulance, explored EMS equipment, and practiced lifesaving skills like CPR, airway management, and AED use. #EMSAOK

Our newest team members learned how to maneuver an ambulance through tight corners, how to brake suddenly & safely, & how to reverse without a rearview mirror.

EMSA welcomed Jon Benton to our OKC headquarters, where he reunited with Paramedic Chad Stimmell and EMT Miguel Martinez — the team who helped save his daughter’s life during a sudden cardiac emergency. #emsaok
