In the last 6 months, I've traded over 700M naira on Bybit P2P and never got scammed even once.
Bybit remains the cheapest P2P option with good rates and low fees but many of you are scared of using it because of the high number of scammers there and delays in payment.
If you spend a few minutes and pay attention to the right details, your chances of trading with a scammer are near zero..
Pay attention to these 👇🏽
Number of transactions completed and completion rate - Higher number of transactions completed and higher completion rate means the vendor is most likely not a scammer (personally, I look for vendors with 3k+ trades completed and at least over 95% completion rate
Is the Vendor Verified by Bybit - don't entirely rely on this but trading with verified vendors is less likely going to get you scammed
Check for Good and Bad Reviews - Good reviews tell you if the Vendor is deliberately efficient and bad reviews tell you stuff to watch out for. If there are too many bad reviews or accusations about scam behavior, then skip the vendor
Have a few tested / Trusted vendors - after trading with some vendors and they pay fast and without any weird behaviors, then you can always go back to them and expect similar actions (make sure to always Verify payments before releasing crypto regardless)
Read the Vendors terms and conditions before trading with them - Some vendors claim they don't cancel trades or they ask for extra fees (if it's reasonable, I personally don't mind if they deduct 50N or 100N, but that's entirely up to you)
Never release crypto until you've confirmed the funds are Safu in your bank account
If you follow these, you're less likely to ever get scammed using @Bybit_Official P2P and you also don't have to face exorbitant fees and bad rates elsewhere
Extra tip - if you want fast payments, pay attention to number 4 👆🏽
