Congratulations to the Honourable David McGuinty on your appointment as Canada’s new Minister of Public Safety.

Under your government, violent crime is up 50%. Gun violence is up 116%. Homicides are up 28% while sexual assaults, auto theft and extortion are up 74%, 45% and 357%, respectively.

Your failed experiment funding hard drugs with taxpayer dollars has increased drug deaths by 184%.

And police are calling out your wasteful, ineffective and divisive gun confiscation as an attack on law-abiding Canadians that will waste billions of dollars that could be spent securing our border and going after actual criminals.

Please, for the sake of our country and our communities, reverse the disastrous soft-on-crime policies of your predecessors and work with common sense Conservatives to bring home safe streets.
