Construction Safety Week gives us the opportunity to reinforce what matters most.
Throughout the week, our teams took part in safety training, continuing the conversations that help keep safety at the forefront every day. On a job site, something as simple as speaking up when you witness an unsafe practice can make all the difference.
Thank you Sunbelt for helping support our crews and promote a safer job site.
The Pittsfield Building is entering a new chapter.
Completed in 1927 and designated a Chicago Landmark in 2002, it remains one of the city’s most storied towers.
We are proud to be part of its adaptive reuse, carefully repositioning the building for a new era while preserving the character that has long set it apart.
From the restoration of the historic lobby to the introduction of a public rooftop terrace, the work is guided by a respect for what endures.
What’s to come: • Residential units reflecting the building’s original character • Commercial and public spaces • A rooftop experience overlooking the city
More to follow as the transformation begins.

@Bisnow’s Chicago CRE Construction and Development Summit.
The conversation was clear. Chicago is evolving, and so is the way we build. Moving forward takes collaboration, advocacy, and a willingness to support one another across the industry.
Thank you, Sam Kimmerly, for representing the team. We’re grateful to be part of the conversation.
It was a great day hosting two students from the University of Illinois.
They gained a real-world perspective on what it takes to bring projects to life, and we loved hearing about their experiences in school. It’s funny how some things stay the same.
We’re grateful for the opportunity and excited to see the future they’ll build!
Welcome, Don Koehler, Senior Superintendent.

1801 W Grand, a five-story luxury apartment building in West Town.
One takeaway from the project team was how early alignment set the tone for everything that followed. Strong coordination up front helped keep the build moving smoothly. Success did not come from fixing problems late, but from preventing them early.
Work like this continues to shape how we approach every build.
Welcome, Kate Ivanova, Chief Operating Officer.
“I am excited to share that I’ve joined ENC Construction & Development as COO. Feeling energized by the people, the mission, and what’s ahead. I look forward to helping scale operations, supporting an incredible team, and turning ambitious ideas into real impact. Let’s build together in 2026!”

This fall, we had the opportunity to connect with so many students exploring careers in construction.
As we celebrate Careers in Construction Month, we’re reminded of the importance of investing in the people who will shape the future of our industry.
If you are interested in learning more about careers at ENC, connecting with our team is a great first step. We would love to meet you!

We had the pleasure of sitting down with George Sorich, Vice President, Residential at NORR to share insights on 1529 N Fremont, our mixed-use, 132-unit project in Chicago’s Lincoln Park.
Designed with connection in mind, the building features an open-air courtyard and rooftop deck, giving residents space to gather and enjoy the city. Its location offers incredible walkability — surrounded by restaurants, retail, and just steps from the L.
Proud to be building this vision in collaboration with CityPads and NORR.
