In Italy, an estimated 88,600 women and girls are living with the consequences of female genital mutilation. 16,000 girls are at risk in the following years.
Our members ActionAid Italy, Nosotras Onlus and Aidos play a pivotal role in prevention and international cooperation.
Strengthening healthcare systems and supporting professionals are essential steps to ending FGM and ensuring that all women and girls are heard, respected, and safe.
