We observed an exploit on a legacy Ethereum "CryptoItems" contract holding old Enjin in-game NFT items, from before the 2023 migration to Enjin Blockchain. The incident was contained within hours.

Your assets on Enjin Blockchain and native ENJ are safe.

On 26 Aug the contract was placed in a protective locked state, a built-in safeguard, and the exploit was halted. Later attempts all failed, and no further assets were drained. Funds are being monitored, with indicators shared with analytics & other partners.

I’ve been looking into a game that’s trying to do something different, and I wanted to share what I found.

Operation Safe Place @OSP_TD is a hybrid tower defense and third-person shooter game which is currently in Alpha stage.

What stands out is how the two styles come together.

You don’t just place towers and watch from above. You carefully position and upgrade your defenses against waves of enemies. Then you can drop straight into the battlefield yourself.

Running, dodging, and fighting in real-time 3rd-person combat alongside your towers.

The game is set in the war-torn continent of Athera, where players defend safe zones against demonic forces and AI hybrids. The story focuses on protecting the vulnerable, and this theme carries over into the real world.

A portion of the game’s proceeds supports the “Every Girl Safe” and “Every Child Safe” initiatives.

Uncle Funk explained in one interview, that Operation Safe Place is more than just a game. - It’s also a real South African NGO dedicated to protecting vulnerable kids (especially from abuse and unsafe environments).

The project was previously building on Sei, but the team has recently stated that @enjin is now the new home for their NFT.

Right now the PC Alpha is live and free to play through the Epic Games Store (application may required for some early access waves). Browser and Discord versions of simpler experiences are also available.

Mobile versions of @OSP_TD iOS and Android are planned for the future.

t’s still early days, and the game will continue to evolve. But the combination of hybrid gameplay, real ownership of assets, and a clear social purpose makes it worth keeping an eye on.

A few days ago I was looking for some interesting new Web3 games and came across @misfitgalaxymmo.

Turned on my stream, the founder @prisonmikeio randomly showed up, and ended up guiding me through pretty much everything ^^

Space looks awesome, the concept is simple and fun, and the in-game economy actually feels well thought out.

You mine, fight, complete missions/contracts, upgrade, and there’s already a pretty active playerbase around it.

Definitely one of those games that surprised me more than expected.
