THE SPIRIT OF MASTURBATION: HOW TO BREAK IT
Joseph was alone in Potiphar's house. Genesis 39:11.
No wife. No family. No one watching. A door was open, a desire was knocking, and the temptation came "day by day." Genesis 39:10.
Now listen carefully.
Joseph did not win that battle in the moment. He won it long before. He lived like a man who knew God was in the room even when no person was. His answer was clear: "How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?" Genesis 39:9.
And when the temptation got close, he did not stand there and negotiate. He ran. Genesis 39:12.
That is the first lesson. The enemy does not start with a fall. He starts with an urge. He looks for the moment you are alone, tired and weak in prayer, and he whispers, "No one will know."
But you are never alone. God sees. And Scripture tells us what to do: "Flee also youthful lusts, but pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." 2 Timothy 2:22.
Here is what many young men are never told. What you keep feeding grows. Every time you give in, the habit gets stronger, and then it begins to hold you down. Then comes the shame, and shame makes you pull away from the very God who can set you free.
But there is a way out, and it is not shame. "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1. Come back to prayer. Open the Word. Cut off what feeds it. Tell a trusted brother. Fill the empty hours with purpose. "Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." Galatians 5:16.
If you are fighting this today, God is not done with you. The same Holy Spirit who helped Joseph run will help you stand.
WHAT HAS HELD YOU WILL NOT HOLD YOU ANYMORE. YOU ARE FREE IN JESUS' NAME.

Pornography and masturbation are connected to the spirit of delay and stagnation. A number of people who masturbate struggle to build something constructive in their lives. They keep losing in business and in almost everything they do.
That is how the devil has kept some people in a cage. They have dreams, visions, and great potential, but they remain trapped in cycles that keep them from moving forward.
Deal with masturbation and pornography. Break free from these habits and take your purity seriously. As you overcome these struggles, you can regain your focus, rebuild your discipline, and give your dreams the attention they deserve.
You cannot keep entertaining what is destroying your discipline and expect to build the life you desire.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:12, โI will not be brought under the power of any.โ
You were not created to be a slave to your desires. You can break free through Christ Jesus!
You fornicated, you lied, you compromised, or you fell into something you never imagined you would doโฆ and now youโre sitting there wondering if God still wants you, if He still hears you, if He still has plans for someone like you. Youโre ashamed, hiding, withdrawing, replaying everything in your mind, thinking maybe youโve crossed a line that cannot be uncrossed. But listen. What the devil wants you to do right now is to disconnect. He wants you to run away from the only place that can heal you. He wants you to drown in regret so you never rise again. But God is not shocked by your weakness. He is not surprised by your struggle. He saw the battle before you even entered it, and His mercy was already waiting on the other side of your mistake.
You may feel dirty, unworthy, distant, and numb. You may even feel like praying is pointless because guilt has changed the sound of your own voice. But do you know what God sees? A child who is wounded, not rejected. A child who needs cleansing, not condemnation. A child who fell, not someone who cannot rise again. Shame will tell you to hide. Grace will tell you to come home. And the truth is, no matter how far you went, God has already prepared the journey back.
If you feel empty, let Him fill you. If you feel lost, let Him lead you. If you feel broken, let Him rebuild you. Your mistake doesnโt disqualify you, it just reveals how much you need Himโand that realization alone is already the beginning of restoration. Donโt let the weight of what you did push you away from the only One who can save you. Yes, you messed up. But God is still calling your name gently, patiently, without anger in His voice. He wants you, still.
And if you feel like you donโt even know how to start again, just whisper, โLord, help me.โ Thatโs enough. He can work with that. He can rebuild your strength from that. He can rewrite your story from that. You are not too far. You are not too dirty. You are not too lost. You are loved, pursued, wanted, and welcomed. Run back. God is waiting.
The Bible repeatedly shows us people who thought their lives were overโonly for God to write a new chapter. ๐ญ๐ฅ
Joseph went from the pit to the prison, and from the prison to the palace.
Job lost almost everything, but God restored him.
Naomi went home bitter and empty, saying, โI went away full, and the LORD has brought me back empty.โ Yet God gave her another chapter.
Peter denied Jesus and thought he had failed, but Jesus restored him and gave him purpose again.
So why are you concluding that your life is over?
Why are you burying your dreams because of what happened?
Why are you allowing one painful chapter to convince you that God has finished writing your story?
The same God who restored them is still God today.
You may have lost years.
You may have lost opportunities.
You may have failed.
You may have been rejected.
You may feel like you have nothing left.
But God is not finished with you.
What looks like an ending may become the beginning of your greatest testimony.
Your story is not over. God can restore what you thought was permanently lost.
May the Lord restore you, rebuild you, revive your hope and give you another chapter. ๐๐ฝ๐ญ๐ฅ
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Job said:
โI made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.โ โ Job 31:1 (NIV)
There comes a point where you must stop negotiating with the things that are destroying your purity.
You cannot keep feeding your eyes with pornography and expect your heart to remain pure.
You cannot continually entertain lustful images and expect your thoughts to remain clean.
You cannot keep returning to the same websites, accounts, conversations and videos and then wonder why the same temptation keeps coming back.
You must make a decision.
Close the page.
Delete the video.
Unfollow the account.
Leave the conversation.
Put the phone down.
Run from the temptation.
The Bible says:
โFlee from sexual immorality.โ โ 1 Corinthians 6:18 (NIV)
And Jesus said:
โBut I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.โ โ Matthew 5:28 (NIV)
Your eyes are a gate.
Be careful what you give access to your heart through that gate.
Not every picture deserves your attention.
Not every video deserves your view.
Not every account deserves your follow.
Not every desire deserves to be entertained.
You are not powerless.
By the grace of God, you can say NO.
You can walk away.
You can shut it down.
You can guard your heart.
You can pursue holiness.
Make a covenant with your eyes.
What you refuse to entertain today can protect your purity tomorrow.
Guard your eyes. Guard your mind. Guard your heart. Guard your walk with God.
The Apostle Paul was a Jewish โPharisee of Pharisees,โ a teacher of the Law, descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacobโs name was changed to Israel. Israel was a man before it was a nation.
The children of Israel were set apart as Godโs chosen peopleโnot as an end in themselves, but with a purpose large enough to bring salvation to the whole world.
From one man they grew to about 600,000 fighting men during the roughly 400 years they spent in Egypt.
God led them out of slavery by His own hand under Moses and gave them the Ten Commandments.
Moses is credited with the five books of the Pentateuch, written as he was inspired by the Holy Spirit God gave him. That Holy Spirit was key. Moses could not succeed without it.
For centuries it looked as if God favored only one people. He did this, in part, to keep them from worshiping the gods of the surrounding nations.
One of the earliest and most severe judgments Israel suffered was the Moabite seduction. Twenty-four thousand Israelites died because they joined themselves to other gods and to Moabite women.
Fast-forward some fifteen centuries into the Roman Empire. The Apostle Paul now writes to new converts that the old ethnic divisions and exclusions have been broken by Jesus. The Holy Spiritโnot bloodlinesโnow defines the family of God.
Jesus, the Lamb of God, is offered for rich and poor, wise and simple, old and young, every nation, tribe, people, and language. You need only acknowledge your need for the only acceptable payment for your sinsโthe Lamb of God, Jesus.
That first tiny step of faith, as small as a mustard seed, is enough to begin changing anyone into a fruitful servant of the Most High God.
All are invited.
Israel is now a nation and still has a major future in Godโs plan. But the Holy Spirit is what every person needs in order to know God and belong to His eternal family.
Moses had this same Helper and wished that all Godโs people would have Him. He got his wish.
You have a choice. You can confess that you need Godโs Lamb, who shed His blood to save youโor you can refuse. If you receive Him, He will send His Helper, the Holy Spirit.
Godโs plan to save the world is stated most simply in John 3:16โ18:
โFor God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of Godโs one and only Son.โ
Jesus makes clear that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that He is the narrow gate. The invitation, however, is for all people.
God loves you enough to pay for your sins with His own Sonโs sacrifice on the cross. Does any other religion have a God who thinks you are โto die forโ?
Talk to God. He loves it when sinners call on Him directly. He loves you that much.
Tell Him you accept His offering, and welcome His Holy Spirit to help you live a far better lifeโa life that will never end.
The promise of Jesus is this:
โI am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.โ (John 11:25)
Are you Chinese or Japanese? Native American? From Sudan or Norway, Chicago or somewhere else? Have you lived like a โnasty Cretan,โ or been โCorinthianizedโ? Call on God and thank Him for sending His Son Jesus to cover even the worst of us sinners.
Paul reached out to the ancient outsiders known as Cretans and to the famously immoral people of Corinth, whose sexual practices would make anyone blush. No one is beyond the invitation.
So what will heaven look like?
โAfter this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.โ (Revelation 7:9)
@Gbdaniel001 Bro, changing who you are doesnโt erase the consequences of who you were. Sometimes, the new you still has to pay the price of the old you.
There is something called grace.
When grace locates you, it does not ask how qualified you are, where you come from, what certificates you have, or how many people believe in you.
Grace can find you in places where nobody expects you to succeed.
Grace can open a door that your qualifications could not open.
Grace can give you an opportunity you could never manufacture for yourself.
But never confuse grace with an excuse for laziness.
Grace does not cancel preparation. Grace empowers preparation.
David was overlooked by his own family, yet grace found him in the field.
Joseph went from the prison to the palace.
Esther was an orphan, yet grace positioned her in the palace.
Ruth was a foreigner, yet grace brought her into the lineage of Christ.
Your background is not too broken for God.
Your beginning does not determine your ending.
When God decides to favour a man, He can change the story of his life.
> โFor You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; with favour You will surround him as with a shield.โ โ Psalm 5:12
May the grace of God locate you, position you, and give you the strength to steward what He places in your hands. ๐๐ฝ
Grace found me. Grace is still carrying me. And grace will not waste me.
WHY DOES GOD ALLOW GOOD PEOPLE TO SUFFER WHILE WICKED PEOPLE PROSPER?
One of the hardest questions a Christian can ask is this:
โIf God is good, why am I suffering while people who do evil seem to be enjoying life?โ
You pray, you obey God, you try to live right, yet you watch people who lie, cheat, manipulate and reject God seem to move ahead of you.
Here is the secret many people miss.
Your present situation is not the final evidence of Godโs judgment.
The Bible says, โDo not fret because of evildoers.โ Psalm 37:1
Why?
Because what you see is only a small part of the story.
A wicked person can have money without having peace.
They can have popularity without having purpose.
They can have possessions without having eternal life.
They can appear to be winning while secretly losing everything that truly matters.
And sometimes, God allows the wicked to prosper for a season because His judgment is not always immediate.
Psalm 73 describes a man who became troubled because he saw wicked people prospering while he was suffering. He almost concluded that serving God was useless.
But something changed when he entered the presence of God.
He began to see the bigger picture.
This is important:
Do not judge your entire life by one chapter.
Joseph suffered before he became a ruler.
David was hunted before he became king.
Job lost much before restoration came.
Jesus Himself suffered before the resurrection.
Sometimes suffering is not punishment.
Sometimes it is preparation.
Sometimes it is correction.
Sometimes it is the consequence of living in a broken world.
And sometimes, we simply do not know why God permits a particular suffering.
That last answer requires humility.
Not every tragedy has a simple explanation.
But here is what we do know.
God is not measuring your worth by how comfortable your life looks.
Your suffering does not mean God has abandoned you.
And someone else's prosperity does not mean God approves of their life.
Never envy a person simply because their life looks better than yours.
You do not know what is happening behind the appearance.
The real question is not, โWhy are they ahead of me?โ
The deeper question is, โAm I still trusting God while I am waiting?โ
Because faith is easy to talk about when everything is working.
But real faith says:
โEven when I do not understand God, I will not abandon Him.โ
Your season may be painful, but it is not necessarily permanent.
And the prosperity of the wicked is not the final chapter.
God sees what people cannot see.
So keep walking.
Keep praying.
Keep your heart clean.
Keep doing what is right.
Do not allow someone else's temporary success to make you abandon your eternal purpose.
What looks like a delay may be preparation.
What looks like silence may not be absence.
And what looks like the wicked winning may only be a temporary chapter in a story whose ending God has already seen.
Each time I watch their videos, I am
thankful she is rooted in the gospel before the incident that happened to her.
Imagine if all she knew was the gospel of convenience without depth in the possibilities of suffering in our faith walk?
๐ LET US PRAY
Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, on this Thursday morning, September 10, 2026, we come before You with grateful hearts. Thank You for keeping us through another week and bringing us safely to this day. Thank You for Your faithfulness over our lives, families, work, and everything that concerns us. We place this day into Your hands.
Father, go before us today and make a way where we cannot see one. Where there are obstacles, give us wisdom. Where doors have remained closed, open the ones that are according to Your will. Where we have been waiting for answers, bring clarity. Let Your favour speak for us where our own strength cannot.
Lord, order our steps. Keep us from opportunities that would lead us away from Your purpose, and give us discernment to recognize the doors You are opening. Connect us with the right people and place us in the right rooms. Help us not to miss what You have prepared for us.
Bless the work of our hands today. Give wisdom to those making decisions, favour to those seeking opportunities, strength to those working hard, and fresh ideas to those building and creating. Let our efforts produce good results and let progress replace stagnation.
Merciful Father, preserve us throughout this day. Keep us from accidents, evil, sudden trouble, and every danger seen and unseen. Watch over our homes, journeys, workplaces, businesses, and studies. Let Your peace guard our hearts.
Father, remember those waiting for employment, financial relief, healing, answers to long-standing prayers, or simply a reason to hope again. Meet them in their places of need. Where intervention is needed, intervene. Where something must change, bring the change. Let someone receive good news this Thursday that reminds them You have not forgotten them.
Today, we declare:
God is going before us.
We will not miss the doors He has prepared.
We receive wisdom to recognize the right opportunities.
We receive courage to walk through the right doors.
The work of our hands is blessed.
Stagnation is giving way to progress.
Confusion is giving way to clarity.
We will not be ruled by fear.
We will see the faithfulness of God in our lives.
This Thursday will give us reasons to praise God.
Father, thank You for hearing us. Go before us, order our steps, bless the work of our hands, and establish Your will in all that concerns us.
May Your favour go before us, Your wisdom guide us, Your protection keep us, and Your peace remain with us throughout this Thursday.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
AMEN. ๐๐ฅ
๐จ THE CHRISTIANITY NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR ABOUT:
You can love Jesus and still be fighting pornography.
You can speak in church and still be secretly masturbating.
You can pray loudly in public and battle sexual immorality privately.
Church attendance does not automatically kill lust.
And pretending you don't struggle doesn't make you victoriousโit makes you isolated.
The enemy loves secret battles because what stays hidden is harder to confront.
But here's the uncomfortable part:
Grace is not permission to keep feeding the thing you're asking God to deliver you from.
You can't keep making provision for the flesh and then wonder why the flesh keeps winning.
Romans 13:14 says:
โMake not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.โ
Flee sexual immorality.
Guard your eyes.
Guard your mind.
Cut off the triggers.
Stop entertaining what you're praying to overcome.
And when you fall?
Don't run from God. Run TO Him.
Confess. Repent. Get back up. Seek accountability. Keep walking.
You are not too dirty for God's grace.
But don't use God's grace to make peace with what Jesus is calling you to leave behind.
Christ didn't die so you could become comfortable with bondage.
He came to set captives free.
@KenRolands So now back to the Context
โOnce Saved forever Savedโ if you go against the will of God do you imply we are still saved from the first confession?
Salvation Yes has been rendered once by Our Savior but itโs up to Each and everyone to complete the task of acting on Godโs will!
@KenRolands We loose our rights to Salvation when we Sin, and the only way to gain back Our Salvation which yes is made available to us but we also need to equally do our part to wear the crown which is a daily lifestyle of constantly doing Godโs Will.
