As I conveyed to Deputy FM @LGUMRUKCU following the @AtlanticCouncil event on the @NATO Summit & the Future of U.S.-Türkiye Defense Relations, @MFATurkiye must be a voice for East Turkistan and act against China’s colonial occupation of the Turkic ancestral homeland & its ongoing genocide against Turkic peoples.
At the very least, Türkiye must end its ongoing so-called “security” & intelligence cooperation with China against East Turkistan, which dates back to late 1996.
Greetings to everybody from #EastTurkestan across the globe,
We are victims of a relentless #genocide. We are citizens of a homeland that is under occupation. We possess a culture that is being systematically eradicated. We belong to a community that is being coerced into slave labor. We are living evidence of a tragedy that the world is choosing to forget.
#China must be held responsible for the massacres, crimes, humiliations, and destruction it is inflicting upon us. If not today, then tomorrow; if not tomorrow, then at some point in the future. We are committed to this fight for generations to come.
Thus, as we approach the 2025 “Oppressed Nations Week,” the East Turkestan Government in Exile is urgently appealing to the Trump administration to intervene and halt the genocide perpetrated by #Chinese authorities against #Uyghur, #Kazakh, #Kyrgyz, and other Turkic peoples in the colonized region of East Turkestan.
In this petition, we have articulated that the crisis confronting the people of East Turkestan is not merely a humanitarian disaster but also poses a significant threat to our very existence, as well as to the national security and economic interests of the United States. We have stressed the necessity for immediate action in this matter. Ultimately, we propose that the only viable solution to this crisis is the issuance of an executive order that recognizes East Turkestan as a state under occupation.
This petition represents a collective plea and aspiration not just from the East Turkestan Government in Exile, but also from all East Turkestan and Uyghur organizations within the diaspora.
Brothers and sisters, this is our crucial moment to come together once more. Our adversaries seek to divide us, while our allies strive for our unity. If we cannot unite on this critical issue today, we will struggle to unite on anything tomorrow. If we cannot share this vision today, we will find it difficult to come together on any matter in the future. If we cannot act collectively today, we will be unable to achieve anything together tomorrow.
We urge you to join this appeal and amplify our collective voice to the US government. Let us demonstrate our solidarity. Let us encourage our friends to provide us with more support.
Thanks to you all.
❗️Secretary @MikePompeo, the #Uyghurs are NOT the #CCP’s “own people.” We are NOT Chinese, and #EastTurkistan is NOT #China; it's under Chinese occupation.
China and its CCP is committing genocide, including forced organ harvesting, against Uyghurs and other Turkic peoples. #UyghurGenocide
