the best thing you can do for yourself is actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you. go outside, try new cafes, museums, events, take a new route home, speak to people, ask questions, side quest. the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you.
When we insist on rushing what Heaven is still preparing, we often lose our peace over blessings that are already making their way to us. So pray, trust, and wait. What is meant for you will arrive in its appointed time.
As important as it is to pray, it is equally important to be patient enough to wait for the answer. No matter how urgently we desire it, God's timing does not bend to our deadlines. The seasons He has ordained cannot be hurried by our anxiety or delayed by our fears.
Not everyone is who they seem at first glance—and neither are we. So before we label people, dismiss them, or conclude we have them all figured out, perhaps we should remember that understanding is earned through proximity, not assumptions.
I used to buy those cheap sunglasses from the roadside all the time and always thought, "What's the point of buying expensive ones? I'm going to loose them anyway." Then one day, I gathered the courage and bought an expensive sunglasses. And guess what? I still have them. I've taken care of them ever since.
That's when I realized those cheap sunglasses weren't getting lost because they were cheap? They were getting lost because I didn't value them enough to care. It's hard to accept, but sometimes in someone else's story, you are that cheap pair of sunglasses.
10. Commitment: Isn't about never facing difficult seasons. It's deciding that difficult seasons won't be the only thing writing your story. It's choosing to build instead of constantly looking for the nearest exit, and that's not something everyone is willing to do.
9. Presence: Being present is becoming a lost art. We sit with people while scrolling through our phones. We hear them without really listening. Sometimes the greatest gift you can give someone is your undivided attention.
