@BobCrauford@OliDugmore That is a completely different concept to what is being talked about here.
You’re referring to something more akin to congestion pricing, whereas the 15 minute city concept (which what the original post is about) is about urban planning. No gaslighting here.
@noahjoshin@the_transit_guy You say this like it’s a real solution. Maybe back when every job was manufacturing or extracting natural resources, but not in today’s economy.
@SirHowzer@alexsears97@ErikW35063011@LeadingReport You can’t compare 5 USD in Peru to 5 USD in the United States. Just because it’s nominally the same does not mean it buys you the same equivalent of goods.
@BlogsMitch@Truthseeke91786@LibertyCappy It has been researched, you just don’t like it because it breaks your world view. Data is from the IRS.

@The_Jerf@PolicyEngineer The overtime numbers are always ridiculous. Any serious company or agency would hire additional people if they really needed that much overtime.
@scdupree@BeatinTheBookie They’ve only been in the top flight for 56 years out of 142 years. It’s not a great comparison, but essentially it would be like being a very low D one or high D2 school for much of their history.
