Great to see our Head of Geography appearing here! Engaging with the subject community on such a key topic is really important and helps our students better understand the world around them. Well done @Geog_Miss_P!
Thursday was a busy day - we saw the museum at Checkpoint Charlie, the Topography of Terror and the Stasi Museum. A reminder of what this city had been through under many different regimes. #EPABerlin
On Wednesday afternoon we had a great trip to Berlin Zoo - a bonus that wasn’t on the original itinerary. Lions and gorillas and pandas and more! #EPABerlin
We’ve set off now and should be back at EPA at around 12:30. It’s about time I caught up on what we’ve been doing - it’s been so flat out we’ve forgotten to tweet! So let’s go back to Wednesday…
Day 2 has begun with an interesting and sobering trip to Sachsenhausen, the concentration camp outside Berlin. With antisemitism in the news again recently, a reminder of what happens when it is not confronted. #EPABerlin
The end of a packed and brilliant first day! We finished off with a little sightseeing, a trip to the DDR museum and some late night karaoke as they blessed us with Christmas songs! It’s been a long one - time to sign out 😴 #EPABerlin
Almost three years to the day that our last overseas trip finished, we’re just 24 hours from finally getting back on the road. Been a long time coming!
We’ve just finished at the services, and sadly said goodbye to our driver, Big John. He made this trip memorable for all, and ensured that we got around safely for the last week, while keeping us informed and laughing! We are due back at EPA at 11PM. #EPABelgiumHolland
