The @EPWGOP passed my Cold Weather Diesel Reliability Act! My bill ends an EPA compliance trap and prevents the dangerous shutdown of engines in extreme cold temperatures. This is a huge step forward for truckers, farmers, mechanics and operators who keep Alaska and our nation moving.
This morning, the MORE American Fuel Act, a bill @SenMarkKelly and I introduced together, passed 18-1 out of @EPWGOP.
Wyoming's uranium reserves and skilled workforce can power America's energy and nuclear fuel security. No more relying on Russia. Domestic fuel production starts now.
Thank you to @EPA and @EPALeeZeldin for your leadership in ending this harmful regulation that would have had irreversible impacts on our energy economy. This is welcome news.
Today at 10am, Chairman @SenCapito will lead a business meeting to consider legislation and resolutions pending before the EPW Committee.

The Biden-era Clean Power Plan 2.0 was designed to eliminate coal and natural gas power generation and would have increased energy costs for families and businesses across our country. Chairman @SenCapito applauds Administrator @EPALeeZeldin’s repeal of this rule and the Trump @EPA’s continued commitment to lowering prices and increasing access to reliable, affordable energy for all Americans.

It was a pleasure join @GasOilWV’s summer meeting this morning at @The_Greenbrier, and to welcome @EnergyUnderSec to the meeting at my invitation.
In the Senate, I am hard at work to pass meaningful permitting reform legislation that will help our oil and gas industry build faster and more efficiently throughout our state.
I am committed to continuing my partnership with the Trump administration to promote West Virginia oil and gas, which provides essential energy for the entire Appalachian Basin.
I was honored to receive @US_NIC’s Distinguished Leadership Award last night! I’m very proud of the positive impact my ADVANCE Act has already had on American nuclear capabilities.
As Chairman of @EPWGOP, I will continue to champion nuclear as an abundant source of clean and reliable energy that is critical to our nation’s energy mix.
Chairman @SenCapito was proud to join @SenJohnCurtis and 4 other EPW committee members in co-sponsoring the bipartisan Wildfire Emissions Prevention Act (WEPA).
This legislation would make it easier for states and communities to use prescribed fires to prevent wildfire emissions, protect ecosystems, and make American forests cleaner and safer.

WRDA will have an incredible impact on West Virginia and our state’s water resources infrastructure.
I am very pleased to share the wins I’ve secured that WRDA 2026 will deliver for our state.
Great news! @EPWGOP advanced the Water Resources Development Act with BIG infrastructure wins for Alaska.
🚢 Delivering cost savings on Nome port.
🛡 Fast-tracking permanent fix to Juneau flooding threat.
🚰 Investing in rural water & sewer.
🌊 Building up coastal resilience.
This morning, the @EPWGOP@EPWCmte passed the bipartisan Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2026 by a unanimous vote.
This legislation will have a tremendous impact on West Virginia by authorizing key flood risk mitigation efforts and improvements to our state’s water infrastructure.
I am thrilled to see this legislation receive such strong bipartisan support, and I look forward to seeing its benefits to West Virginia.

Without reliable water infrastructure, communities in The Natural State and nationwide would suffer economically & face public health threats. It underpins our country. Proud to have secured many priorities, including for Arkansas directly, in WRDA 2026 ⬇️

Passing the Water Resources Development Act out of our committee unanimously every two years—for over a decade—really is evidence that collaborative legislating still exists in the United States Senate. Our bill supports projects across North Dakota like the Eastern North Dakota Alternate Water Supply Project that folks in Fargo and up and down the Red River Valley are very familiar with, and the Williston Levee, while also authorizing water infrastructure programs North Dakota, our tribes, and rural townships rely on. I’m really grateful and pleased our committee has kept WRDA a priority and delivered a bipartisan product to the Senate for final passage.

The Great Lakes are the largest source of fresh water in the Western Hemisphere, and millions of Americans rely on them every day.
Grateful the @EPWGOP Committee included the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative in the Water Resources Development Act.
As the only member on the committee representing a Great Lakes state, I’ll keep fighting to protect Lake Erie and support conservation across Ohio.
At 10am, Chairman @SenCapito will hold a business meeting to consider legislation and nominations pending before the EPW Committee. Tune in here: https://t.co/TVvfQAfkHR

I’m excited to share that I’ve helped secure more than $47 million in @USDOT BUILD grant funding for WVDOT to support improvements to the Eugene A. Carter Memorial Bridge on Interstate 64 and the construction of Corridor H in Hardy County!
Both of these projects will dramatically improve the movement of West Virginian families and businesses across our state.

Moving mountains for West Virginia!
FHWA Administrator Sean McMaster joined @mvgovernor Morrisey and @SenCapito to cut the ribbon on an incredible 11.4-mile stretch of #CorridorH. Crews blasted through solid rock and moved over 22M cubic yards of dirt to turn a rugged mountain road into a safe, modern 4-lane corridor!
Under the Trump Administration, FHWA is fully committed to giving all communities the infrastructure needed for economic prosperity. We won't stop until the final miles are complete!
#Infrastructure #AmericaIsBuildingAgain #ProjectDelivery @WVDOT
Improving WV’s infrastructure has been one of my top priorities during my time in Congress and no project is more important to our state’s future than the completion of Corridor H.
I’ve worked hard to direct millions in investments towards Corridor H, and I’m thrilled to be on hand today with @USDOTFHWA administrator McMaster as we open the new 11-mile stretch connecting Kerens and Parsons and mark another major milestone for this project!
