🔷 Σήμερα το απόγευμα, με την ιδιότητά μου ως Πρόεδρος της Επιτροπής Μεταφορών και Τουρισμού του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου, είχα την τιμή να συμπροεδρεύσω, μαζί με την αγαπητή συνάδελφο και Πρόεδρο της Επιτροπής Ασφάλειας και Άμ��νας, κα Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, στην εναρκτήρια τριμερή διαπραγμάτευση για τον Κανονισμό που θεσπίζει ένα πλαίσιο μέτρων για τη διευκόλυνση της μεταφοράς στρατιωτικού εξοπλισμού, αγαθών και προσωπικού εντός της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (Κανονισμός για τη Στρατιωτική Κινητικότητα), παρουσία του Επιτρόπου για τις Βιώσιμες Μεταφορές και τον Τουρισμό, κ. Απόστολου Τζιτζικώστα, και του Επιτρόπου για την Άμυνα και το Διάστημα, κ. Andrius Kubilius.

▫️Μετά τις παρουσιάσεις εκ μέρους των τριών θεσμικών οργάνων, με ιδιαίτερη ικανοποίηση διαπίστωσα ότι όλοι μοιραζόμαστε έναν κοιν�� στόχο: την ενίσχυση των αμυντικών δυνατοτήτων της Ευρώπης, μέ��ω της άρσης των εμποδίων που δυσχεραίνουν την απρόσκοπτη στρατιωτική κινητικότητα.

👏🏻 Θερμά συγχαρητήρια στους εισηγητές του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου, τον κ. Roberts Zīle (TRAN) και τον κ. Michał Szczerba (SEDE), για την εξαιρετική δουλειά τους πάνω σε αυτόν τον σημαντικό φάκελο.

🔷 Εκ μέρους της Επιτροπής Μεταφορών και Τουρισμού, προσβλέπω στην προώθηση αυτής της κρίσιμης νομοθεσίας κατά τη διάρκεια της Ιρλανδικής Προεδρίας του Συμβουλίου, με ταχύτητα, αποφασιστικότητα και ισχυρή δέσμευση για επίτευξη ουσιαστικών αποτελεσμάτων.

🔷 This afternoon, in my capacity as Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism, I had the honour of co-chairing, alongside my dear colleague and Chair of the Committee on Security and Defence, Ms Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann @MAStrackZi , the opening trilogue on the Regulation establishing a framework of measures to facilitate the transport of military equipment, goods and personnel across the Union (Military Mobility Regulation), in the presence of the Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, Mr Apostolos Tzitzikostas @tzitzikostas , and the Commissioner for Defence and Space, Mr Andrius Kubilius @KubiliusA .

▫️Following the presentations by the three institutions, I was particularly pleased to see that we all share a common objective: to strengthen Europe’s defence capabilities by removing barriers that hinder seamless military transport.

👏🏻 My sincere congratulations to the Parliament’s rapporteurs, Mr Roberts Zīle @robertszile (TRAN) and Mr Michał Szczerba @MichalSzczerba (SEDE), for their excellent work on this important file.

🔷On behalf of the TRAN @EP_Transport Committee, I look forward to advancing this crucial legislation under the Irish Presidency of the Council with speed, ambition and a strong commitment to delivering results.

🔸Νωρίς σήμερα το πρωί, είχα τη χαρά να προεδρεύσω της εναρκτήριας τριμερούς διαπραγμάτευσης για τις δύο νομοθετικές προτάσεις, που περιλαμβάνουν τη Δέσμη Μέτρων για την Οδική Ασφάλεια (Roadworthiness Package), η ��ποία αποσκοπεί στη βελτίωση της οδικής ασφάλειας, στην ενίσχυση των περιβαλλοντικών επιδόσεων και στη διασφάλιση της αποτελεσματικής εφαρμογής του δικαίου της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης.

▫️Θα ήθελα να συγχαρώ τους εισηγητές, τον κ. Jens Gieseke και τον κ. Johan Danielsson, για την εξαιρετική δουλειά τους στους συγκεκριμένους φακέλους. Θα ήθελα επίσης να ευχαριστήσω την Πρέσβη κα Cáit Moran, Αναπληρώτρια Μόνιμη Αντιπρόσωπο στην COREPER I, καθώς και τον κ. Kristian Schmidt, που εκπροσωπούν την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή, για τις γόνιμες συζητήσεις και τη δέσμευσή τους για την προώθηση αυτών των σημαντικών νομοθετικών φακέλων.

⚪️ Με την ιδιότητά μου ως Πρόεδρος της Επιτροπής Μεταφορών και Τουρισμού TRAN @EP_Transport , προσβλέπω στη συνέχιση της εποικοδομητικής συνεργασίας μας με την Ιρλανδική Προεδρία τους προσεχείς μήνες, ώστε να επιτύχουμε ουσιαστική πρόοδο σε αυτή τη σημαντική νομοθετική δέσμη μέτρων.

🔸Early this morning, I had the pleasure of chairing the opening trilogue negotiations on the two legislative files comprising the Roadworthiness Package, which aims to enhance road safety, strengthen environmental performance, and ensure the effective enforcement of Union law.

▫️ I would like to congratulate the rapporteurs, Mr Jens Gieseke and Mr Johan Danielsson, for their excellent work on these files. I also wish to thank Ambassador Cáit Moran, Deputy Permanent Representative to COREPER I, and Kristian Schmidt, representing the European Commission, for the fruitful discussions and their commitment to advancing these important dossiers.

⚪️In my capacity as Chair of the TRAN Committee, I look forward to continuing our constructive cooperation with the Irish Presidency in the months ahead to deliver progress on this key legislative package.
