@JBuckleyLabour PLEASE follow the experts, the evidence and overwhelming call from the public to support this bill (and if not for those reasons, as a mum of young children).
💩 Public footpath by the River Severn in #Shrewsbury. Every time it rains the sewer flushes human poo and tampons onto a path used by 100s of people. We walk through shit while @stwater boss Liv Garfield gets a £3m bonus 🤬 @bbcmtd@DRobertson_Star@GMB@ShropshireStar 1/
Super-happy to share the first paper from my PhD, published in ERSS🧵
We explore how UK politicians view their responsibility to lead by example with low-carbon behaviour (or not)
TLDR: some MPs lead by example on the quiet, but fear being "extreme"

I really enjoyed the @BERANews 50th Anniversary conference. The highlight is seeing my peers, some of who have become mentors and friends. I feel really lucky to have met the fabulous @jruddchemist . Looking forward to seeing the journey of other ECRs that I met!
Some interesting discussion happening on this blog chat. Even if you can't make the meeting please do feel free to chip into the chat! It's really useful to the development of the research programme too https://t.co/LqnsQvztpG
@what_eh @mrrobwilson @BBCShropshire@ShropshireStar@ShropCouncil@JulianDean99 @JBuckleyLabour It is depressing isn't it. Annoyingly to report to Severn Trent you need to video live, so you have to record it at that moment. This was the same from a few other pipes yesterday, just raw sewage.
@BBCShropshire@ShropshireStar@ShropCouncil There are quite literally lumps of poo and toilet paper floating down the river severn (between railway bridge and coleham). And it stinks! This is not good enough! (That photo is a lump of poo!!) @JulianDean99 @JBuckleyLabour
@CrossCountryUK This is my 4th time in 2 months getting the crosscountry train from Birm. New st to York (final destination Edinburgh). Every time it is way too busy. Elderly people struggling to stand for hours. Why hasn't this been addressed? We're told it's always like this!
We talk about the climate crisis 10x more than the biodiversity crisis, yet we cannot solve them in isolation. Come along to our 'Fresk de la biodiversité weds evening to learn more about the nature crisis and actions we can take! https://t.co/XHIzMBItzM @Jennifer_Ball23
@AliBody1 This is where my husband's family are from. I feel like the landscape is like something out of a fantasy novel- islands, bodies of water, mountains! Have you visited Calgary bay? I am very envious!
