The Monarch stood before it, bearing a single white lily, a symbol of purity and rebirth. For death was never truly the end, even for beings that would persevere through the end of 、

Tears could not find him — in its place, the sombrance of the moment and an acceptance of the reality, gave rise to a blooming melancholy.
Jin-Woo laid the flower along with the rest, each solitary flower, a representation of those who shared in the 、

As he turned to walk away, allowance of space for the others to process their grief — he noted the gaze of many tracing his every step. So, Jin-Woo stopped.
💭 : Right, I guess I should say something.
“ I'm not one for big speeches or anything 、

like that. So I'll keep it short. ”
The Monarch would preface.
“ When this all started, I knew how it would end. And if I had told him, he would have accepted his fate. That's not what I wanted.

A sigh escaped the partition of his lips.

Words are easily spoken, but not so easily embodied — this his aching heart knew well. That feeling of a knife being twisted in his chest would not pass, even as he departed the ceremony.
