ERCO is a not-for-profit organisation set up to enhance and sustain the Edgbaston Reservoir site as a green & open space freely available and accessible to all.
My challenge yesterday, in memory of my great father, was to record #BrumsBirdlife on a 34 mile walk across a small sample of the city’s open spaces (that are oases for wildlife & sanctuaries for us), whilst also meeting the “unsung heroes” that look after them…..
@Chris4Patches@edgresfriends @robhemming25 Hope the rest of your Birmingham green spaces connected walk went well, Chris! What a brilliant idea... could this become be an annual thing which builds until BCC ensure all green spaces are connected via green-lined public pathways?!
🌳🌳Do you like trees? Us too.🌳🌳
Come see us on the res tomorrow between 10am and 1pm and you might get one of the 50 rowan, cherry and hazel trees we have to give away. We'll be by Reservoir Rd entrance.

Reservoir users were promised to be kept in the loop about any sale of the land or news of a development brief for the former Tower Ballroom site by Birmingham City Council.
Instead we all find out via RightMove: https://t.co/pDhrUajBfa
and 1/2
and groups like The Friends of Edgbaston Reservoir LNR and us keeping people informed.
It's sad when in the city you love you come to expect total lack of transparency and refusal to modernise its forms of communication from its bankrupt council.
