Physical Therapy Aide students studied the respiratory system. They learned techniques to help post-operative patients who’ve undergone abdominal or open-heart surgery, and how to use an incentive spirometer, a device that helps those after surgery or a lung ailment diagnosis.

Bixhorn Tech held a college fair so students could speak with reps from private, state and technical colleges, and the military and state police. Many CTE students advance their education in their chosen fields, leveraging the head start their CTE training has provided.
It was a Winter Funderland at Westhampton Beach Learning Center leading to holiday recess. Winter holidays around the world were celebrated with students experiencing craft activities, gross motor skills, and sensory activities that met the needs of the school’s diverse students.

The Suffolk PBA continued its efforts to spread holiday cheer by visiting the kids at Sayville Elementary School. Santa Claus and the men and women in blue made a special appearance, bringing joy to the children. They distributed candy canes, coloring books, and crayons, which brought smiles to all the kids' faces. The PBA wishes a happy holiday season to all the students and staff at Sayville Elementary School.
