Yesterday, I held a call with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of Egypt and a call with Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani of Qatar to discuss reaching a deal to secure the release of hostages together with an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The United States will work with Egypt and Qatar to ensure the full implementation of the terms of the deal, and exert all efforts to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas which is now the only obstacle to an immediate ceasefire and relief for civilians in Gaza.
My new airlines rule is simple:
If you’ve had a flight canceled or significantly delayed, experienced delayed luggage, or paid for a service on a plane that wasn’t provided –
Your airline is required to issue you an automatic cash refund.
Yesterday, four brave law enforcement officers – including a Deputy U.S. Marshal – were killed in Charlotte, North Carolina in the line of duty. They are heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, rushing into harm’s way to protect us.
We mourn for them and their loved ones. And we pray for the recoveries of the courageous officers who were wounded.
To the families of those we lost: Jill and I, and all Americans, are here for you.
We will always be here for you.
Since I took office, Americans have filed a record 17 million new business applications – each one of them an act of hope and confidence in our economy.
