ESIA's mission is to educate and inspire people about the Eastern Sierra public lands through high quality interpretive products, exhibits and programs.
Lone Pine Peak is often mistaken as Mount Whitney as it towers over the valley and Alabama Hills below. Lone Pine peak stands at 12,949 ft. Grab great views of Lone Pine Peak and Mount Whitney as you travel through the Alabama Hills.

Packing out all of your waste and trash includes your doggie bags and WAG bags. We ask everyone to commit to taking the next step to making sure all items find their way to the proper trash or recycling receptacles🗑️. Do not leave your waste for someone else to clean-up!
In the month of April alone there were an estimated 30,000 visitors in the Alabama Hills😲! It is so important to remember: don’t crush the brush pack in and pack out trash, be courteous of other visitors, check fire restrictions, and plan ahead and prepare!
