Here are a couple of pictures of the cheque presentation held at the Control Room this afternoon!
One picture shows the team at ESJCR presenting the cheque for the final amount to Barry from Great North Air Ambulance Service with Geoff from the RAOB Buffs Club.
we top this total for next year and who will be the lucky charity nominated by our team!?
Thank you so much to every single person who has been involved in this fundraiser from donating prizes, selling and buying tickets, baking cakes, supporting us, drumming up business
Drum roll please............................
The money has been counted and the raffle has been drawn and we have raised a total amount of ยฃ7157.06 for Great North Air Ambulance Service as part of our International Control Room Week celebrations.
We are absolutely gobsmacked
at the amount of money raised and we can't thank everybody enough for supporting our fundraising efforts.
The amount is made up from the raffle, bake sale and a very generous donation from the RAOB Buffs Club of ยฃ500.00 to our fundraiser.
We are pinching ourselves with the
Accredited Centre of Excellence for our medical call taking and dispatch so we will happily claim that as our 'superpower'

We decorated the Control Room yesterday, handed out goodies from the sponsors of Control Room Week Sopra Steria, created some of our social media content, picked up the last of the raffle prizes to be donated (watch this space for an updated list!), now to get more tickets sold
It was an absolute pleasure this evening to invite Lee and Tom from Great North Air Ambulance Service to the ESJCR for a tour and to provide an update to our fundraising.
Lee is the Head of Operations for Cumbria & Isle of Man at GNAAS and it was great to show him and his
celebrations of International Control Room Week whilst they are here.
Did you know?................................ GNAAS average 6 call outs per day across the UK and Isle of Man - they have been covering the Isle of Man as the official emergency Air Ambulance
colleague Tom around the Control Room and also get a deeper insight into the operations at the GNAAS Headquarters - it was all a rouse to get a free trip in a helicopter really!!
Lee and Tom are on the Island for a few days and its been lovely to invite them to join in the
We know International Control Room Week is nearly here when our box of goodies arrives and we start receiving guests into the Control Room.
Today we had a visit from the Hon. Jane Poole-Wilson MHK - Minister for Justice and Home Affairs who brought along some treats and helped
us make an early start to the celebrations for #InternationalControlRoomWeek
It's always a pleasure to welcome the Minister up to the Control Room and we can't wait to share what we are up to over the next week including the grand total we will have raised from the
