@KevinStacey87 A lot of things happen in a hockey game but blaming the refs for the loss when the game never should have got to OT is choosing to go after the low-hanging fruit. I'm sure that SJ fans could point to some random injustice that occurred during 60 min of hockey as well.

@PrisonBull @dukeofmissouri @L0VEnation @SkyDill_93 @GodinMarx Thx Paul. The issue is, it hits his stick (possession) but bounces away. He hasn't established control yet and his feet cross the line before he establishes control even though he has possession the whole time.

@sooemma @TXHockeyRef Yes, with possession and control. He only had possession prior to his feet crossing into zone. He needs control as well

@ToughCallPod @chuter87 No,but criteria for a player entering before the puck is interpreted very narrowly by the NHL. There is so much gray area and room for interpretation, they give very little latitude if it's not obvious P&C. Can agree the whistle isn't blowing for a penalty on initial touch?

@chuter87 @ToughCallPod It hits his stick and bounces off. If there was a delayed penalty, the whistle would not blow, it's not possession and control. He then crosses the blue line with his skates and then he gains possession and control. That's offside in my opinion.

@nuckster_19 @bassetgreg @kharrisinsuranc I don't disagree that the rule could be amended to where a player swings at a puck below his waist and it deflects off the top of his blade or shaft and goes out. Completely agree that's not intentional

@bassetgreg @nuckster_19 @kharrisinsuranc Discretion doesn't work. That's why the rule was changed. Goalies were penalized automatically long before the players were and nobody objected. They have a massive stick and a catching mitt but everyone felt they had a responsibility to not shoot over the glass........
