A CN player is openly admitting that the backlash against Valko was a deliberate pressure tactic — not genuine feedback. They admit the complaints weren't real, that stirring up outside public opinion was part of the strategy, and that now that the goal has been achieved, other players should stay quiet so the global community doesn't find out.

To the Love and Deepspace / Infold / Papergames team,

I'm a player writing to formally object to the abrupt cancellation of Valko as the 6th Love Interest, and to ask that the underlying issues that caused this crisis actually get fixed, not just papered over with compensation.

What needs to happen:

Reconsider Valko's cancellation. Removing him entirely, days before launch, after players had already anticipated and prepared for his release, sets a damaging precedent: that any content decision can be reversed by whoever protests loudest, regardless of the wider playerbase's wishes. At minimum, delay his release and let the full global community weigh in, don't erase him outright.

Fix the issues that caused this in the first place, which go far beyond one character: Skin tone / character rendering, long-standing inconsistencies in character model and skin tone rendering need a real, committed fix.

Diamond and resource farming, Free to Play resource acquisition is too slow and too whale-dependent. Players need clearer, fairer paths to premium currency.
Anecdote quests, side-story content for existing Love Interests has been delayed far past a reasonable timeframe.

Main Story quests, 500+ days without Main Story updates for the existing leads is the actual root cause of this entire crisis. We need a public, committed content roadmap.

Hold a public livestream. A short written statement is not enough for a crisis of this size. Players, both the ones upset about Valko's cancellation and the ones with pre-existing grievances ; deserve to hear directly from the team, in real time, with a concrete plan and timeline.

This game has a passionate, invested global community. We're asking you to treat us as partners you communicate with, not a PR problem to be managed. Please take this feedback seriously.

I’m stating that this rumour that was spread stating a character raped MC is was fear mongering as we saw Valko did not “burst” into MC’s home and if you have played the game you know they would NEVER do something as disgusting as add rape into game. When I say weaponising trauma, I am saying that stating situations in a sensationalised way like this to get a negative reaction and indoctrinate them into a hate campaign - when we have not even seen the material! This is based on rumours! - IS weaponising trauma. It’s weaponising the fear us women have of being raped/sexually assaulted to push us into hating a character for content we have not even seen?? Especially from the preview he was just a messy silly dog not an ABUSER. If you play this game you should also know they would never go so far as to add actual things like rape into the romantic content of the game. It isn’t even about just Valko, it’s because I’ve been so open time and time again that I hate people bringing up rape/grooming/abuse in a way that is specifically to insight hatred to others and use the emotional pain of trauma to make others angry, especially when the abuse is not even there. I have been raped and sexually abused multiple times and open about it, I have also received anonymous hatred regarding that previously so I AM sensitive to the topic. So when people use traumatic things women go through in rumours or twisting content over pixels to get an emotional reaction, it is weaponising our traumas - our very real fears - to get a response they want.
