I have been approached by several educated unemployed youth from #Ladakh who have expressed concern over the limited employment opportunities currently available in the higher education sector. They have highlighted that no recruitment notifications for contractual positions have been issued so far this year by the University of Ladakh or the Department of Higher Education.
Many aspirants have also shared their concerns regarding recruitment practices in previous years. They believe that local candidates did not receive adequate representation despite possessing the required qualifications and merit. There is a strong expectation among the youth that the domicile provisions and reservation policies notified for the Union Territory should be implemented in both letter and spirit to ensure fair and equitable access to employment opportunities for the people of Ladakh.

I respectfully urge the concerned authorities to take note of these concerns, expedite the recruitment process, and ensure that all appointments are carried out transparently and in accordance with the prevailing domicile and reservation policies of the Union Territory. Providing deserving local youth with a fair opportunity to contribute to the educational institutions of Ladakh is essential for addressing unemployment and strengthening public confidence in the recruitment process.
The aspirations of our educated youth deserve timely attention and meaningful action.

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
With profound sorrow, @JUIAK_Ladakh announce the passing of Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Muhammad Hussain Mufeedi, a revered Islamic scholar and former Markazi Imam of Friday Prayers.
It is difficult to understand the logic of opening liquor shops in the name of combating drug abuse. Alcohol is itself an intoxicant and, in many cases, serves as a gateway to substance dependence rather than a solution to it. Addressing one addiction by promoting another is neither sound public policy nor a credible strategy for safeguarding society.
Ladakh, and particularly #Kargil, has long been guided by social values and principles that discourage the use of intoxicants. Alcohol has never been a part of our cultural ethos, nor is its consumption accepted by the overwhelming majority of our people. Any attempt to normalize or institutionalize alcohol under the pretext of revenue generation or tourism promotion runs contrary to the sentiments, traditions, and aspirations of the local population.
Economic development and tourism cannot come at the cost of social well-being and cultural integrity. Sustainable progress must strengthen communities, not introduce practices that undermine the values on which those communities are built.
We therefore strongly oppose this decision and call for its immediate withdrawal. We also urge the authorities to refrain from repeatedly imposing policies that lack public consent and fail to take into account the unique social, cultural, and moral sensitivities of the region. Good governance requires dialogue, consultation, and respect for the will of the people.
The people of Ladakh deserve development that reflects their aspirations, protects their identity, and respects their collective voice.

A truly commendable initiative by the dedicated volunteer youth of @JUIAK_Ladakh .
Despite repeated appeals to the responsible authorities like @nhidcl over the deteriorating condition and unattended potholes on the #Kargil#Zanaskar national highway from 0 to 30kms, no meaningful action was taken. Refusing to remain silent spectators to public inconvenience and risk, these young volunteers stepped forward with a spirit of selfless service and collective responsibility, undertaking the work of filling potholes through self-help efforts in Minji #Kargil.
This act reflects the true essence of community service — where citizens rise to serve society when institutions fail to respond.

Breaking🚨: The resignation of Indian Army Air Defense JCO Anurag Thakur has surfaced.
He stated, "Our lives have no value. I lost 300 of my comrades, but the Indian government did not even acknowledge their deaths. In one year, more than three officers from my unit have resigned, and today, I am making this decision as well."
On #EarthDay2026, we reaffirm our commitment to a greener future 🌍

Congratulations to the noble people of Iran and to the steadfast leader, Ayatollah @MKhamenei_ir . Also congratulations to the oppressed people of the world.
The blood of martyrs has flooded the field of battle. The resistance of the people, the leaders, and the protectors of Iran has turned the tide of history. America—the global imperialist power —has been defeated in this war.
Not one objective of the aggression launched by @realDonaldTrump has been fulfilled. Not one.
The enemy’s calculations lie in ruins. The course of events has reversed: today, negotiations move forward on Iran’s terms, shaped by Iran’s demands, dictated by Iran’s resistance.
But let no one be deceived. This is a ceasefire—not the end. The war is not over. The pause will be tested by time.
Yet this much is clear: a strategic victory for Iran. A powerful moral victory belongs to all who stand against domination. The empire has been pushed back. And the people—awake, unbroken with the truth.
Long live the revolutionary spirit of Iran!

Serious injustice by CEO office. Aspirants forms were rejected saying B.Ed is compulsory, but now results show many selected candidates have B.Ed awaited or no B.Ed at all.
Why this double standard ? Requesting @dc_Kgl to take strict action and ensure fairness for all aspirants.
