@MarathonDevTeam Honest question: How does it make sense to slow the Cradle progression for people who didn’t have access to the higher/better loot? When you KNOW some people already got rapid Cradle progression AND higher/better loot? Just reset the season after the free week — my gosh
@Chicityforum1@ZBerm Some want so much to devalue that pick. When the reality is on Draft Day 2028, if the Eagles still have multiple first-rounders and address needs with them with talented prospects, no one at all is going to say, "But wait. They didn't get a 2027 first"
@Chicityforum1@ZBerm OK. But it's their philosophy that allowed them to accept that instead of taking a 2027 2nd/etc. They have done this before. They will have multiple first-round picks in 2028, as it stands now. When that draft rolls around, no one is going to say, "But the actual value is a 2nd"
@jimrome@SheilKapadia Exactly -- it's wild how so many people refuse to fade teams in the NFL. It's exactly as Kapadia explained. Who knows what the Pats will look like in two years? If they're good, you haven't lost anything
@travisyost It’s so bizarre to me. The rush to be first to say something for engagement is truly bizarre to me. I get it: Nobody is waiting until the game ends to offer opinions. That era is long gone. But 12 minutes deep into Game 1? Damn, man
@sethjoyner I totally agree — I knew it was a wrap when Sirianni aired him out in that game you mentioned. It’s just my opinion but I think that was a part of it
@sc0nesandc0ffee I think you’re correct — and the bottom line is there is really no way to balance something like this. But the thing of it is that new players are needed, and most onboarding attempts provide extra items to get them started. As you noted, at some point, everyone loses it all
@jpbeeman@IFrostBolt That is what I see — remember last season, when experienced players were complaining that they weren’t getting matches with Level 20s? Well, you don’t hear that now. TCIV was dangerous the second Season 2 started because some might not be good, but they know what they want to do
@LesBowen It is amazing how some — definitely not all — gloss over what actually happened on the field last season. I defend Hurts a lot, because his critics are batshit insane, at times. But you know who watched them play last year because he wasn’t even close to their biggest problems
@LesBowen I know you said it. People just don't want to accept that even if there was off-field drama, he would have been fine with 100-plus catches and 1500-plus yards, 10-plus targets every game. That's all it was: He wants numbers, never hid it. It's sad that it's that basic, but it is
@LesBowen Honestly, I am glad this nonsense is over -- the book on the sideline, the tweets, the quitting on routes...I am glad it's done. He wanted out. He's great when he's on but all the other things were just noise and distractions
@LesBowen I cannot imagine the “sports rage” that man must feel right now. Getting traded is something they all understand, I assume. Cleveland as a city and sports town is totally fine. But the Browns simply cannot get out of their own way most of the time, and they only get one career
@Bugzvii Nothing I respect more than commitment (900 hours) and helping other people raise their floor (the last two items). Congratulations on being one of the good guys in this medium
@betty_egg I wish more people understood this: “You don't get rich by running around and shooting everything. …You're supposed to SURVIVE. You're supposed to make it out alive with your gear.”
@AlZeidenfeld@ShandelRich You can always tell who knows ball by how they talk about Scottie Pippen. If a person knows that the Bulls absolutely had two elite players — plus Rodman for the second three-peat — then you know they understand ball. Doesn’t take away from Jordan at all. Pippen was elite, too
@getnickwright Whatever. Gotta do something like that. Because barring injury, the Spurs just showed everyone that it’s a wrap if everyone else tries to run it back. It ain’t gonna change. You gotta go THROUGH them
