Melba Ruth “Cookie” Bumstead Byrd, a 1956 graduate of East Texas Baptist University, is still faithfully serving and impacting others today as a greeter at Mobberly Baptist in Longview. She is a grandmother of eight and great-grandmother to six!

Hidden behind the walls of Linebery Hall was a little piece of ETBU history.
As renovations began and the old bunk beds came down, we discovered notes, pictures, signatures, memories, and little reminders of the students who once called Linebery Hall home.
