The @EU_Commission, @esa, EUSPA, the SpaceRISE consortium and European industry partners have defined the next steps for the deployment of IRIS², Europe's future secure connectivity constellation.
As the provider of secure, user-oriented services, EUSPA will play a key role in delivering IRIS² services for governmental users, focusing on security accreditation, user needs and service management.
Galileo L14 Update
GSAT0234, one of the Galileo L14 satellites, entered into service on 23 July 2026. Following the entry into service of GSAT0233 in May 2026, the successful integration of GSAT0234 marks the full deployment of the L14 satellites within the Galileo constellation
The constellation will continue to expand in the coming months with the Launch 15 mission, further strengthening Galileo's global navigation capabilities.

GSAT0234, currently positioned in a spare slot within the Galileo constellation, has successfully completed an extensive testing campaign which is now concluded. It is expected that GSAT0234 will enter into service within the next few weeks.

#EUSST is monitoring the re-entry of object ZQ-3 R/B (2025-282A #66877), a 2-stage launch vehicle that could have a dummy payload attached to its second stage. EU SST contributing sensors are observing the object to narrow down the re-entry window. More updates will follow soon.

EUSPA is now managing the two new Galileo satellites as part of the Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP).
The satellites were launched earlier this morning by @Arianespace and have now reached the holding point, with their solar panels successfully deployed.
Galileo LEOP operations are among the most collaborative activities in the European space sector, including EUSPA, @Spaceopal, and @esa. By combining forces and expertise, we are unlocking the full potential of European Union GNSS and the wider EU Space Programme.
