@EuamIraq advisers met with the Director of the Environmental Police, Major General Thair Hamid Saleh, to discuss cooperation on environmental security, capacity-building, operational coordination and efforts to combat environmental crime in Iraq.
@EuamIraq Senior Strategic Advisors on Organised Crime met with Major General Hameed Majeed of FIIA’s Organised Crime Directorate to discuss future advisory cooperation on intelligence analysis, tailored training, and efforts to disrupt transnational organised crime networks.
EUAM Iraq supported Training of Trainers programmes in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah on service-oriented policing and human rights. Around 1,000 police officers have since been trained by local instructors, reflecting strong ownership and sustainable police development.
@EuamIraq held a roundtable with key Iraqi institutions on cybersecurity and cybercrime. Discussions focused on cyber trends, training needs, legal frameworks and capacity-building, with outcomes supporting continued cooperation with Iraqi counterparts.
@EuamIraq's Senior Strategic Advisers on Border Management met with the Border Ports Commission to discuss strategic priorities, review progress, and explore future cooperation in support of effective and coordinated border management in Iraq.
