On 16 September, professionals from the Navarra Fire Service participated in a new focus group as part of the Erasmus+ CoVE EU-DRIVE project. The session provided an opportunity to share experiences and identify training and competency needs from an operational perspective.
Following the initial focus groups held in Spain and France, the participatory regional stakeholder activities of the our project continue in all five participating countries.

Regional cooperation on #wildfire preparedness and #civilprotection is taking shape in Cyprus.
@CyprusMFA Permanent Secretary Theodora Constantinidou visited the #CRAFS - Cyprus Regional Aerial Firefighting Station - facilities today for its Distinguished Visitors Day, ahead of its inaugural regional workshop.
The #CRAFS Workshop on Regional Cooperation and Needs Assessment will bring together Cyprus, experts from the EU’s #ERCC and 10 partner countries from the Eastern Mediterranean, North Africa and the Gulf on 15-16 September.
CRAFS is being developed as the first regional hub for the EU’s Southern Neighbourhood for aerial #firefighting preparedness, training and #capacitybuilding.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, regional partners and Cypriot authorities will come together to identify needs and help shape CRAFS’ future training and capacity-building programme.
A key deliverable under #MedPact, CRAFS is moving forward through close cooperation between @CyprusMFA, @DefenceCyprus and @CivilDefenceCy, with 🇪🇺 support from @EU_Commission, @EU4MENAGulf and @eu_echo.

As part of the Erasmus+ CoVE EU-Drive project, two focus groups were held in Navarra with the Environmental Ranger Service and Orekan. The discussions focused on identifying training and competency needs to support the development of a practical training programme.
