Τhe Italian Frigate LUIGI RIZZO operating under EUNAVFOR ASPIDES, provided support to a merchant vessel (MV) crossing the Red Sea. During the support an exercise was conducted including complex maneuvers and flight operations.
The activity provided an opportunity for Force Commander Rear Admiral Milos ARGENTON 🇮🇹 to meet the Master of the MV, highlighting EUNAVFOR ASPIDES’ commitment to freedom of navigation and strengthening the trust with the maritime community.
Since its launch in February 2024, Aspides mission has supported over 1960 merchant vessels, ensuring their safe transit and provided protection to more than 650 ships.
