Evangel Athletics mourns the loss of Hall of Fame softball player, Summer (Kimble) Naegel.
Summer was a member of the Evangel Softball team from 1998-2001, where she became the first ever NAIA All-American Softball player at Evangel, winning the honor twice. (1999, 2001)
Kimble valiantly fought breast cancer for over a decade, serving as a youth softball coach in Ohio for several years.
The two time NAIA All-American, Kimble was named to the Evangel Hall of Fame in the fall of 2010.
Our prayers are with the Kimble and Naegel family, during this time of loss and mourning.
Kenna keeps on breaking records!!
With her triple in today's 7-3 win over Dillard, Mayfield broke the school record for career triples with 18 (formerly held by Aimee Mann, 1996-99, and Megan Washam, 2014-17) and also recorded her 87th hit of the season, breaking the single season school record for hits (formerly held by Kendra Corbin, 2009)
Congratulations (again), Kenna!
