The Entry/Exit System was launched on 12 October 2025 and will be fully deployed at all border crossing points by 10 April 2026.

It records the entries and exits of non-EU nationals travelling for short stays to 29 European countries, helping safeguard #SchengenEU.

On 9 November, EU and CELAC leaders met for the 4th Summit in Santa Marta, Colombia. The Summit joint declaration strengthens the bi-regional relationship and confirms we stand for multilateralism and international law.

Leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the green, digital and social transitions, as well as enhanced cooperation to improve citizen security, fight against organised crime and strengthening care systems.
