Anthony Albanese is questioned by the ABC on his broken election promises and asked how he would describe those statements now:
Albo “we changed our position”
ABC “no, how would you describe those statements now”
Albo “we’ve changed our position”
ABC “were they promises?”
Albo “they were statements”
Since the 1980s, the Sahara has shrunk by roughly 8%. Satellite data show widespread greening - a pattern that is playing out across the planet.
Around 50% of Earth's vegetated land has become significantly greener, an area roughly three times the size of the United States.
The dominant driver is not rainfall or land use change, it is rising atmospheric CO2.
Higher CO2 lets plants photosynthesize more efficiently, they lose less water, they tolerate heat and dryness better.
The effect is strongest along desert margins, across the Sahel, the Middle East, Australia's interior, and the southern edge of the Sahara.
Rising CO2 is making the deserts, and the planet as a whole, greener.
“Institutionalized Islam is incompatible with Western civilization.”
When an ideology treats women as property and suppresses dissent, criticism isn’t hate, it’s self-defense.
Wake up Western countries!
Regarding these hate speech laws and the clear contradictions within them, the elephant in the room and the plain reality is that no genuine distinction can be made between Islam and radical Islam at a foundational level: namely, scripture.
Governments can try to address terrorist acts or extremist ideology stemming from radical Islam, but they will always hit a wall on the grounds of religious freedom.
In the absence of any reformation in how the religious texts are understood and observed in alignment with Western values, Islam is, at present, culturally incompatible with the West. It is also a fallacy to compare this situation to the Old Testament as an example, since Christianity has gone through many variations in the observance of scripture that align with the modern Western outlook.
That is simply a fact.
This stronger together bullshit from the PM and his lackeys is really pissing me off.
Jewish families were together with other Jewish families on Bondi beach enjoying their religious festival.
Other non-Jewish families and Australians were on the beach.
Tourists were there.
Lifeguards.
People from all walks of life, ages and interests were together on Bondi Beach on Sunday 14th December 2025.
Australians and foreigners all together.
Then 2 gunmen came and blasted high powered rifles at them and murdered 15 Australians who were enjoying the togetherness.
Stop it with the meaningless, empty platitudes.
Just stop it.
Australians and our foreign visitors get together all the time.
We are a society that enjoys getting together and being with others.
We don't need our politicians to tell us to have a big community cuddle in the wake of the worst mass murder of Jews since October 7th, 2023.
We don't need your platitudes.
We don't want your meaningless feel good words.
We know how to get together.
You are not our mothers, advisers, spiritual leaders, group monitors or employers.
You are our elected representatives in our halls of power.
ACT LIKE IT!
We need you to keep us safe from those who exploit our enjoyment of being together outdoors.
DO YOUR JOB!
'I very much welcome her bold statement and act of defiance against such a prison for women.'

Today in a world-first, I am telling the story no one dares to in abortion debates—the baby’s.
The Other Side, is a new series to do just that.
Our first video is about baby Hope.
Her life was violently taken when her parents learnt she had a genetic condition.
While the ABC handed her parents a megaphone to broadcast ‘their pain’, they silenced Hope — the baby who never had a voice.
In The Other Side we break this taboo and tell the stories of babies like Hope.
Breaking the silence is critical to making abortion unthinkable.
🔴 RESHARE THIS VIDEO to let the world know Hope's story.

Matt Ridley, former science editor for The Economist, thoroughly debunks the "climate crisis" narrative:
"We know that in the medieval period, it was warmer than today... So we're not in a period of unprecedented warmth."
"We're not in a period of unprecedentedly fast warmth. We're not in a period of increasing extreme weather, floods, droughts, storms."
"The carbon dioxide we're putting in the air is having a very measurable effect that's beneficial... And that is global greening."
"There is more green vegetation on the planet now, compared with the 1980s, equivalent to a continent the size of North America... And that's because carbon dioxide is plant food."
"And yet, there are so many vested interests now in continuing to talk about it as a crisis... that I'll not get a hearing for what I just said."

Excellent @parnellpalme piece in the SMH on how so many under-40s vote for their own inter-generational impoverishment - this obviously extends to voting for Green or Teal policies that simply enrich their landlords. Insanely self-harming politics afoot.
1/ The Population Trap - Last year Australia's population surged by 484,000 due to mass migration, which follows a trend that has brought in nearly 6 million people since 2010.
Sure, more people means higher total GDP, but per capita GDP & labour productivity, which actually measures individual prosperity, has done the opposite- it’s collapsed.
