As Leader of the Opposition, it’s my duty to stand for transparency and accountability in how this Government conducts itself.

Yesterday, I wrote to the Speaker of the House to raise a matter of process regarding an Integrity Commission report on the FLA that was sent to Parliament on March 30, 2026. The Integrity Commission Act is clear: once a report is submitted, tabling it is a vital step to ensure parliamentarians, the media, and the public can do their part in upholding accountability.

Unless a court has made an order preventing it, the law expects these reports to be tabled promptly. That’s how democracy works…clarity, scrutiny, and the right of the people to know what’s happening in institutions that serve them.

I’ve asked that this be addressed at the next sitting of the House, and I trust the Speaker will act to ensure the process is followed.

Jamaicans deserve institutions that welcome scrutiny, not ones that use procedure to avoid it. I’ll keep pushing for the transparency our democracy depends on.
