We’re saying goodbye to Platform X.
We're excited to continue our journey in revolutionising glass recycling, and we’d love for you to come along!
While we won’t be active here anymore, you can stay connected and follow our updates on LinkedIn.

Eurostat's latest data reveals that EU glass packaging recycling reached an impressive 75.6% in 2022! 🌍♻️
With green dominating the map, it's clear that EU Member States are well on track to meet the 2030 target of 75%. 🎯

Various types of glass, such as smartphone screens and medical vials, cannot be recycled.
But what if we could change that? EVERGLASS is transforming glass recycling using laser technology.

🚨NEW ARTICLE
“Whatever we do, nature and the environment will always survive, but the question is whether it will be here with humans or without them.”
- Dušan Galusek explains, in response to why we should care about #GlassRecycling.

#GlassRecycling
We kicked-off our meeting at @FunGlass_Centre with our partners from @uvigo, CSIC, @ACTALIA_Info, ESCI and @FraunhoferITWM.
We are learning about the research being done at the FunGlass Research Centre.
👋Meet our next project member!
@eva_muntion is the CEO of @RTDI, who will assist in the project management. She sees great potential for EVERGLASS to improve to the glass recycling industry and create a new relationship between #citizens and glass.
#GlassRecycling
Celebrate #WorldEnvironmentDay on June 5 by taking action to protect our planet.
Did you know that recycling, reducing, and reusing waste is crucial for a healthy environment? We can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, preserve natural habitats, and prevent pollution.
While all types of glass are recyclable, for some, there are difficulties.
Bottles and containers can be recycled together but shouldn't be mixed with other types such as windows or ovenware. These are made differently and, if recycled together, could lead to production issues.
A new way of recycling glass, that's what we hope to create.
Our project was featured on the newspaper Faro de Vigo. You can read it through the link if you have a subscription to the newspaper or in this link: https://t.co/ipbGZb6EMZ

👋Meeting our next partner
👩🔬Today we meet @almutei, a senior scientist, from our partners at @FraunhoferITWM.
ITWM are our numerical simulation experts.
As Almut explains, with EVERGLASS we can try out new solutions in a non-restrictive environment.
#GlassRecycling
However, #GlassRecycling can be improved. Currently, 28+ billion glass bottles and jars go to landfills, where they can take 4,000 to 1 million years to decompose.

#Sustainability
🌍 Happy #EarthDay!
Glass can easily and infinitely be recycled. By recycling glass, as opposed to creating new glass, the #glass production industry can cut down on energy and #GHGEmissions. At the same time, they are preserving the raw material that glass is made from.
