@JohnCena fought until there was nothing left to prove, then smiled.
The tap wasn’t surrender; it was acceptance.
And STOP: it didn’t betray “never give up”…it COMPLETED it.
You don’t give up on the fight; you give up the NEED TO KEEP FIGHTING.
He didn’t give up…he let go.
“Never give up” was never about clinging forever. It was about giving everything while you’re there. Cena did that, for decades. When the moment came, he smiled, not in defeat but in completion. The tap wasn’t quitting; it was wisdom….the understanding that perseverance isn’t proven by refusing to end, but by knowing when the work is finished.
Never give up doesn’t mean never release. It means leave nothing undone.
The smile: a quiet acknowledgment that his work was done, and the future was in capable hands.
His smile said everything: peace, pride, and the rare grace to step aside whole.
It was perfect. It was beautiful.

@WWE saw the Bron shirt & the pit bull depicted on it wasn’t a dog…it was a caricature. Teeth bared, eyes wild, posture exaggerated…something monstrous.
These dogs are affectionate, loyal, & deeply people-oriented. Maybe that version doesn’t sell as easily. But every time that image gets printed, worn, and normalized, it reinforces the idea that these animals are something to be wary of rather than loved & understood. Too many of these dogs have trouble finding loving homes as it is. Too many of these dogs are put down because of stereotypes like this.
Do better. #standupforpits @SUFPFoundation
