This week we have begun our final theme of Journeys and have learnt about different types of transport, how we have travelled to places on holiday and where they are in the world. We have enjoyed making our own journeys across apparatus in PE and creating a range of vehicles. ๐
Today we released our beautiful butterflies and watched as they happily flew off into the sunshine. What a wonderful experience seeing the whole life cycle complete! ๐ฆ
Over the last few weeks, we have shown great interest in the birds around our school and wanted to learn more about the different species, how they make their nests and what they like to eat. ๐ชถ
Our Big Adventure Part 2
Our walk continued through our beautiful local area to Blindhurst Dairy Farm. Here, we learnt about dairy farming, lifecycles and caring for animals. We had a fabulous time and could really see so many examples of โOur Wonderful Worldโ.๐
Our Big Adventure Part 1
A wonderful start to our day with a lovely walk through the woods. We had so much fun using all our senses to identify different plants and animals in the local environment and spotting evidence of seasonal change.
We have definitely got some โvery hungry caterpillarsโ in class and they are now enormous! ๐ We canโt wait to see the next part of their life-cycle.
We have had great fun investigating seeds and were amazed by how different they all looked! We have also been planting our own seeds, naming the different parts of plants and learning about life-cycles. ๐ฑ๐ชด๐ท
We are having so much fun learning about โOur Wonderful Worldโ and have loved observing and investigating different life cycles. We particularly enjoyed our visits to the pond to learn about the life cycle of a frog and are excited to see how our own tadpoles grow and change.
