@captgouda24@ben_golub Also, this all relies on some other assumptions not mentioned in the thread, e.g.:
- infinitely lived agents (would the actual workers taxed more heavily live long enough to be repaid -> intergenerational fairness?),
- workers own all the capital (or don’t they? may’ve missed),
Maybe it's too late for many of us, but don't use your institutional email for anything that matters—journals, YouTube, Substack, ORCID, Google Scholar, etc. One day you'll change jobs, retire, or lose access, and you'll discover how much work it is to update everything.
@paulnovosad For this to be reasonable, "rich" Americans should be given a different questionnaire as part of their application forms. Or at least a special checkbox saying "rich".
I've had to fill out such forms for myself once or twice. They divide people across incoherent and dumb lines
@MWMstozek@TivadarDanka If you want to get anything useful out, A and B (and their respective universes!) better be incompatible. If they are, you can just unite the universes, assigning some probability to each, and everything will follow through neatly.
If there are at least some intersections, tho…
@ben_golub Which insurance do you mean? Health insurance, social insurance, insurance specifically against the risk of being displaced by AI (as a novel product to be sold by insurers), or any insurance that relies on evidence that can be easily counterfeited by AI?

How did one discriminate in experiments between “not enough memory capacity” and “capacity is there, but the attention gets sidetracked”? In the latter case, that cap should show if attention’s kept in check somehow. …
@SvetlinTotev@LaraBuchak Wouldn't infinite classes rather give rise to some sort of folk-theorem dynamics where any randomized mix of 1 and 3 would be "stable"?
Temperatures in Moscow fluctuating back and forth between below and above freezing are such a metaphor for all the turmoil that shouldn’t have happened…
