We recently convened as EXCO and noted the public statements and allegations made by the suspended SAPS Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant-General Daphney Manamela, during her recent press conference.
These allegations, which touch on matters of institutional integrity, governance, and the conduct of senior SAPS officials, are serious in nature.
We emphasise that these allegations must be tested by the relevant law enforcement authorities, oversight bodies, and be subjected to proper legal processes rather than remaining in the public domain.
