Being a ~35 or younger Cowboys fan is pretty brutal because you’re simultaneously viewed as a bandwagon frontrunner and you’ve also literally never seen your team even make the NFC Championship
Arch Manning on winning Citrus Bowl MVP as his uncle [Peyton] did — “No disrespect to the Citrus Bowl, I think he was here twice, I’m not trying to come back again.”
“Cal Raleigh is more valuable.”
Well, Aaron Judge’s fWAR was 1.0 higher and his bWAR was 2.3 higher.
“Yea, but Cal’s season was historic.”
Ok. Aaron Judge had the most home runs ever for a batting champion and had only the third 50 home run season for a batting champion, the first since 1956.
And just for fun, the difference in OPS between Aaron Judge (1st) and Cal Raleigh (4th) is the same as the difference between Raleigh and the 77th ranked player in baseball.
The right guy won the MVP.
Case closed.

It’s the MVP and not MVCatcher award…
Saying people won’t remember Barry bonds type numbers is wild. The only reason people may not remember it is because it’s not even judges best season. And even though it’s not his best season it was still better than Raleigh’s
Judge is great and a worthy MVP. He had a great year…but in 5 years nobody will ever talk about his season again.
What Cal did was historic. No catcher had ever done that. It will be talked about for a long time.
I think the voters got this one wrong.
