@bdez559 @ValChillmerz @itsfedex It’s all competitive in nature so choosing the dodgers makes sense, y’all got continued success to make the playoffs and the roster is scary good. If the deferment didn’t happen the roster is still stacked, but this makes it unfair lol

It lets smaller market teams compete with signing high value players instead of being bullied out by teams with deep pockets. You have really dense thinking skills

@bdez559 @ValChillmerz @itsfedex The Padres started a motion of small market teams to start spending and I want that to continue for baseball but who can honestly match a $700mil contract? Betts and Ohtani contracts combined are worth more than the Miami Marlins

@bdez559 @ValChillmerz @itsfedex Where was it reported other teams could have done this as well? $700mil is an insane price tag, initial talks were in the $600mil range so what you’re saying the dodgers upped the price with that deal in mind? That could make sense but still ruins the competitive nature

@bdez559 @ValChillmerz @itsfedex Ohtani is worth 10 WAR, the value of being able to field a player with a hit of only 46mil and be one of the best pitchers AND hitters in baseball is insane value.He just gave them 24mil to add another player on top of that so they’re getting much more value that no one else can

@bdez559 @itsfedex I understand that yes, Ohtani wants to win and he’s never made the playoffs. I don’t mind he felt he chose a team that can bring him that success and pay him but from a competitive standpoint this just screwed over a lot of teams cause a salary cap isn’t in place.That’s the issue
