I am SO pleased to see this! Richard Taylor has quite rightly won his case. I was shocked at how the project and people, Richard T in particular, were so falsely portrayed in the film. Good to see it’s being put right. Do see Richard T’s thread below. 👇

**Drumroll please** I'm so excited to announce that mine & @odavies9 book 'Folklore: A journey through the past & present' will be out this September! 'The book's key message is that folklore...is and always has been ubiquitous, dynamic and political' https://t.co/6u5y4DotPR
I think the most fascinating aspect of the Dr Ally Louks saga is the fact that she approached vitriol from trolls online with intellectual curiosity. I don’t think I’ve ever encountered anyone doing that on the internet
I’m thrilled to have played a small role in the excavation of the UK's biggest ever dinosaur trackway site at Dewars Farm Quarry, Oxfordshire, in June 2024!
The excavation uncovered over 200 footprints, including those of 𝘔𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘶𝘴 and 𝘊𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘴𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘶𝘴 🦕
Time for my annual search for this C16th miniature portrait of #ThomasCromwell, after #Holbein, stolen from @hevercastle in 2003. I’d love to see it returned to Hever. Have you seen it? Please consider sharing! https://t.co/0JWIQSe5Uf

The UN “calls upon actors in the art market—including auction houses, museums, art dealers, and collectors—to take a proactive stance in ensuring the provenance of cultural objects…”
The demand side of the illicit trade has often been overlooked.

Axel von Berg, long ranked among the world’s most respected archaeologists, is facing allegations of falsifying some of his most important prehistoric discoveries, including a skull he famously identified as Neanderthal in 1997 https://t.co/8Pj6BcRFtZ
What the hell kind of provenance is this?
This solid gold medal 👇 was stolen in 1937 by an Italian fascist soldier from Ras Desta Damtew, Prince of Ethiopia and son-in-law of Emperor Haile Selassie just before he was EXECUTED.
"This piece comes from the estate of an Italian soldier who was present at the capture of the Prince".
You have to hand it to the Swiss auction house here, they are not hiding the fact that they are selling stolen property. Also, check out the reply from the auction house (below). Is this not the most "Swiss" 🇨🇭reply ever? The heirs of Ras Desta Damtew would like the piece returned for display in a museum in Addis Ababa, #Ethiopia . #stolenart #Italy #WorldWarII #Switzerland #HaileSelassie #artlaw
Small relief depicting the Genii Cucullati (the Hooded Spirits) which was found in one of the vicus buildings at Housesteads Roman Fort on Hadrian’s Wall. The relief was probably a family shrine, and is on display in the site museum. 📸 My own. #ReliefWednesday#RomanBritain
A great PhD offer with an absolutely lovely team in a vibrant city, if anyone wants some tips regarding the interviews or application process I'm eager to help (been there, done that)

Looted by the Nazis, saved by the #MonumentsMen and now for sale by #Christies. What a piece of history!
