@CalvLyfeson Short term it might be the best move for him. Probably doesn't have the killer instinct right now to play as an inside forward/inverted winger looking to score 15+ goals per season but can certainly stretch teams, beat his man and get to the byline.
@slbsn@beth_lindop I think there's more of a willingness for them to do that now however Beth made a fair point. Liverpool in particular were always happy to pay the premium to sign a player after 2 years at a Southampton however I think that premium is becoming too much.
@beth_lindop@slbsn You're spot on and I think we're seeing a bit of a change. Under Klopp we not only didn't sign old players but rarely signed young players too. Most of our first team business were 23-26 year olds. In Leoni, Jacquet and the attempts to sign Diomande it looks like we're changing.
@danhaddad86@yakobper90@Simon_Hughes__ Ok but the insult? Anyway, I'm not really arsed anymore. Salah's an all time great but he's miles from the player he was. That coupled with the fact he won't accept not starting every game & how unsuited he is to what Iraola wants is why I think the idea of him returning is mad.
@danhaddad86@yakobper90@Simon_Hughes__ Tweeting me in the middle of the night and now insulting me but I'm the one taking this personally? I have no issue with Salah as part of the squad being rotated, unfortunately he will though. He can't play week in week out anymore and his ego won't allow him to sit on the bench.
@Kristian_Walsh Tbf they're going to dig out a tweet from 4 months ago where they mentioned his name. What they won't do is dig out the other 1000 tweets where they've mentioned thousands of other player to 'keep an eye on'.
@PaulSenior1 I'll check it out. I only use it for limited business stuff, drafting newsletters etc. Although it did help me diagnose a website issue yesterday pretty well.
