The Senior Policy Manager at the GSMA, Mr Linus Melly paid a courtesy visit to the ED EACO at her office earlier today to update her on ongoing projects of common interest and discussed ways in which the two Organisations can work together.
Working through @UCC_Official, Uganda is hosting the East African Communications Organisation (EACO) Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee (FARMC) meeting from 18–22 May 2026 at the UCC head office in Kampala.
The meeting, attended by EACO Executive Director Ms Caroline Koech and delegates from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda, was officially opened this morning by the UCC Director Corporate Affairs, Fred Otunnu.
FARMC is a key @EacoInfo governance body responsible for oversight of strategic plans, budgets, financial performance & Working Group outputs, while providing recommendations that shape regional communications policy and institutional effectiveness.

The LM/ICT, @achanga85 is attending @CRASA_ORG G5 Regulatory Collaboration Summit 2026 in Lilongwe, Malawi, organized under the theme “Collaborative Regulation and Building Digital Ecosystems”, he moderated a session on Regional Integration & Regulatory Harmonization in Africa.
#Draw lessons from the European Union experience;
#Explore how these lessons can be adapted to African context

This session brought together complementary perspectives focusing on continental frameworks, realities, & implementation pathways as well as the European Union experience. The session was able to;
#Examine the role of regulatory harmonisation in enabling regional digital markets
Discussions focused on ongoing Operational matters and the preparations for the 31st Annual Assemblies, with the Secretariat seeking guidance on key regional matters. The DG appreciated Secretariat dedication and encouraged them to continue advancing EACO’s vision.
Today, the EACO Secretariat, led by the Executive Director, Ms. Caroline Koech,@ckoech paid a courtesy visit to the DG NCA, Hon. Rizig Dominic Samuel, who also serves as Chairman of EACO, at @NCA_SSD premises in Juba, South Sudan. @CA_Kenya, @MoICTKenya
The ED, @ckoech had a productive sideline meeting with EACO leaders during the @papuafrica Plenipotentiary Conference. She engaged with CEOs and PMGs in a forward-looking discussion on regional priorities and innovative ideas shaping the future of the postal sector. @CA_Kenya
EACO is proud to strengthen its collaboration with Pan African Postal Union at the @papuafrica Plenipotentiary Conference 2026 in Kampala. Together, we are advancing regional cooperation and shaping the future of postal and digital connectivity across Africa.
This week, EACO is attending the PAPU's Plenipotentiary and today our ED, @ckoech is moderating a session of @papuafrica Plenipot on: "Creating an Enabling Policy and Investment Environment for a Smart and Integrated African Postal Sector". @CA_Kenya
Hon. Francine was impressed about EACO's work and its regional role in developing the sector. She affirmed her commitment to support EACO in advancing its activities in the region.
On 24 March 2026, EACO Secretariat met with Hon. Francine Rutazana, Member of @EA_Bunge and Chairperson of the Committee on Communications, Trade & Investment, at @RURA_RWANDA to discuss key regional issues on how to develop the Communications Sector for the EAC Region. @CA_Kenya

The 8th EACO Regional E-waste Awareness Conference ended this evening in Kinshasa, DRC, hosted by @OfficielArptc. The Ministre de l’environnement, et du climat de la RDC, H.E. Marie Nyange Ndamo, emphasized three points; Infrastructure, Innovation and Collaboration.
