I actually don't want to climb any corporate ladders. I don't care about job titles. I don't need accolades.
I just want to have income to fund my lifestyle, not be depressed, help other people, and be around good humans.

Hyper-independent ladies will tell you it’s the opposite. Asking a man for money means he’s made us feel safe enough to believe it won’t come with strings. Comfortably asking for anything / relying on ppl requires a vulnerability we struggle with. We do that when we LOVE someone.
I keep saying, that overly submissive madness doesn’t work for me…if you can’t call me out when I’m being stupid and making a fool out of myself then I don’t want that relationship.
If you want to get married go ahead and do it.
If you don't want to get married, it's also your right not to.

What's changed? Parents used to enforce a lot more at home. They'd actually help their kids with homework instead of complaining about having it. Reading to their kids. Discussing current events around the dinner table. Disciplining at home for their child's behavior at school.
If you grew up in the ghetto and made it out unstained, you'll appreciate strict parenting and be grateful for the presence of discipline.
Teenage pregnancy, teen fatherhood, drugs, drinking, theft, robbery, smoking, violence are rampant in the hood.
