Charles and Ray #Eames designed a thoughtful chair for children. Practically featherweight, allowing a child to lift and move, and the chair back had a cutout in the shape of a heart, a place where the chair could be easily grasped, even by a tiny hand. https://t.co/36al6GBmlb
In 2021 the #Eames Office faithfully crafted the 1943 Molded Plywood Sculpture in a limited edition of twelve after a rigorous year-long research and production process. Now a centerpiece of "Eames Office: 80 Years of Design." https://t.co/dKrl5RCgCi

“We were not ‘collectors’ of toys. We found things and kept them as examples of principles or aspects of design. We kept it to show it, to use it, to share it, to give insight to others and to ourselves.” - Ray #Eames to historian Pat Kirkham, 1983
Did you know that Charles and Ray's friend, Sister Corita Kent, did the calligraphy for the first Eames Office graphic of the #Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman? Discover other fun facts about this timeless design: https://t.co/9Gml4x5KtM
By 1954, all variations of molded plywood, wire, and plastic #Eames chairs were selling in furniture and specialty shops across America. The #EamesOffice continued to produce @HermanMiller's print advertisements and also designed point-of-sale graphics for showrooms and stores.
The Reebok x Eames Club C (Friends & Family) mimics the the color palette Charles and Ray Eames carefully selected for their home over seventy years ago.
Stay tuned for more collaborations with Reebok! #ReebokxEames
The #EamesLoungeChair and Ottoman, produced 65 years ago, has been featured in homes, museums, offices, on the cover of magazines, and as set decor (think: Frasier and Tron). Another special place it has been? Inside the #EamesHouse, as a staple of Charles and Ray's living room.
"In 1957, Ray Eames designed the title screen and opening credits for Wilder’s 1957 romantic comedy Love in the Afternoon, starring Audrey Hepburn, Gary Cooper, and Maurice Chevalier."— @EamesOffice
@kenshirriff You're probably aware of this, but there's a neat animation of a similar cross section, showing the unfolding motion, in this film about the SX-70 by @EamesOffice https://t.co/0zk31Y5j3v
Charles and Ray designed The Toy in 1951. 70 years later and children around the world still love it for its nearly limitless uses: tunnels, towers, houses, and tents. You can use it as a theater set to stage a show, as party décor, or even an airplane! https://t.co/h4JN42FM9q
It will be no surprise to hear that a majority of the furnishings in the @Eames House are #Eames made. Their Case Study House proved to be an ideal testing location for Charles and Rays designs. This #LAR, photographed by Charles himself, was no exception! https://t.co/bB7boNQprM
The Eames film "Powers of Ten," and our subsequent flip book, was featured in the @nytimes! Writer Caroline Chen reminisced about her physics-aspiring mother and her ability to see the relational aspect of personhood to the universe. https://t.co/AiGvBbQj6I
